Well, maybe in the Russian army. For sure in the United States army. But Israel? No. People who volunteer for elite battle units don't shoot themselves in the leg. Please confine yourself to describing what happened with the Soviet army in Afghanistan, and do not project their sordid actions upon anyone else. Why, I remember when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, and put Tajiki soldiers in the front lines because they were ethnically closer to the Afghanis than anyone. The Tajikis either defected to Afghanistan's rebel factions en masse or turned tail and ran like striped-ass baboons. Have you ever read THOSE reports, sluggo? Of course not. But why am I not in the least bit surprised? You don't seem to read very much of anything except comic books. Are they of the Boris and Natasha variety? Or just Archie and Jughead?
