He is a minister in a government that no longer exists...why is he pushing this? Is it even legal for him to be attempting to put this through? In order to be sure that we are safe from identity theft? or In order to be sure that the company he's backing gets this particular contract? and about identity theft...all of the personal information of every single one of us Israeli citizens is already on the internet...it was "accidentally" placed on the net by a worker of the Interior Ministry...so really what's the point?
