That's what you get when you vote Shas.
2. Dressing to please Elohim should be a cherished endeavor!
Rivkah   (04.27.15)
Looking modest and feminine but not alluring with wanton eyes should be important to women professing godliness! In the USA, I see women wearing short shorts who say they belong to churches and congregations who do not reflect the modest appearance of Elohim's chosen women of faith. Women at beaches in bikinis do not reflect modesty, either! Shame on them! My grandmother NEVER wore shorts or short shorts or a bikini or any swim suit attire that was not modest and old fashioned and covered from neck to knees. When my husband was in the US Navy, I refused to wear swim suits to swim parties for other men to ogle at me and women to get jealous about their men ogling another woman! What an offense to Elohim that would be! I was covered from neck to knees and no one told me to leave. That may have been perceived as un-sporty and affected my husband getting promoted, but I lived to please Elohim not people. It is an offense to Elohim for a woman to even let a male nurse or doctor see her private parts. That is how modest Elohim's standards are for HIS women. But then, most women do not want to belong to Elohim. That is their choice. And when they are told, "Depart from me into everlasting fire for I never knew you" by Elohim, they will repent but it will be too late!
3. If the girl's face that was erased caused lust, the girl
Rivkah   (04.27.15)
would feel it as a pain in her clitoris or as an oppression of lust that leads to sin. It is more important to protect a girl from lust and sin than to have her face posted all over, provoking lust. Most women are so ignorant of the weaknesses of males, so they flaunt torments to the males to get them to sin thinking that is being feminine. That is not what Elohim wants in His women. He wants His women to be sober, modest, and other positive character traits most women know nothing about because they are in rebellion against Satan. Even in my sixties, I cannot walk across a college campus without feeling the oppression of lust, so I avoid going places where my modest appearance provokes lust. I don't even dress provocatively and I feel the oppression of lust in certain places. So those are the places for godly women to avoid. A college degree can be obtained online without exposing oneself to the ungodly males at colleges.
4. lessons my mother taught me
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (04.27.15)
When I was just a small tot, my mother told me that ALL extremes are not good. It does not matter if they are extremes of religion or secular, the right or the left, etc, I have seen that she was correct. Life is with people, not the exclusion of them. Life is getting along with others even though they think differently. Too bad that so many people seemed not to have learned this lesson. Guess their mothers did not talk to them...
5. Rivka no. 2
Madeleine ,   Israel   (04.27.15)
Shame on you Rivka. these women are ot (yet) talking about women in bikinis or tank tops. They are talking about photos of business women, or little girls and females in general. Are you haredim so unsure of your religion and yourselves that you cannot cope with photos of the female person, even modestly clothes. And you are blasphemous indeed!! Who gave you the monopoly on God?? first and foremost - be a decent person and if you abide by the Ten Commandments, without all the MANMADE laws by rabbis down the years, including the idiotic laws/rabbis, you would lead a good and upright life. God belongs to anyone who acknowledges him. It's attitude like yours that turn people off religion.
6. #2: Rivka
Israeli 2   (04.27.15)
Elohim means gods...any god. The Torah only mentions not to cross dress. There is not anything about modesty except in reference to incest. The rest of what you speak of are obvious points that I agree with you about. However, in all honesty, today......we can safely say that you have time traveled from a very distant past. Nice to have you among us in the 21st century A.C.E,
7. Excellent #4! I FULLY AGREE!
Israeli 2   (04.27.15)
Your mother taught you well.
8. Religion is lobotomizing people all over the world, prohi-

biting it would do as much good as prohibition of alcohol ever did. It's the consumption that has to be kept in check....
9. answer to Rivki
shoshana ,   Netanya, Israel   (04.27.15)
Your grandmother wore neck to knee swimsuits because that was the fashion. Today bikinis are. I am not for bikinis. Modesty has its place, but your grandmother also didn't express her views in public either, and would never consider a public domain like facebook or let alone the internet. If as I do, a martied woman covers her hair and most of her body there is no reason to avoid photographing women. Doctors are just that, and men need to get a grip on their desires and learn self control before hiding women to protect men! Maybe the men need to be hidden from view if they have an issue with women for existing. Life would not go on successfully if women didn't exist
10. Make 2 states for 2 people: Religious & Secular
Danny   (04.27.15)
Religious should have the say in Beit Shemesh, Jerusalem, Bnei Brak and other major religious cities, while secular should have the say in Tel Aviv, Holon and other secular cities.
11. #4 Larry, tov me'od is ra as Shlomo Hamelech said
Danny   (04.27.15)
but going against Torah law is worse. Dressing modestly is not extreme - it's the basic law mentioned in all sefarim.
12. Don't see how this will be enforceable
Tzvika ,   Jerusalem   (04.27.15)
Unless the offended real-estate agent files charges against a newspaper, what can be done to force them to publish a picture that they don't want to publish? Will they seek some legal injunction that any newspaper that doesn't include a picture of a woman in every edition may not publish? Everyone knows that won't stand up in a court of law. Has anyone thought this through? You aren't satisfied with a newspaper -- don't buy it. This is not the sort of thing that can be legislated. Don't forget that this is treading on thin ice. There are all sorts of Arab language newspapers that publish stuff that some people don't like, and there's no way the Knesset or the courts will mess with that.
13. 3 Rivka
robert ,   antwerp belgium   (04.27.15)
The issue goes further than just preventing lust from men. If you start like this why not have women dress in thchadors or burkas. Why not forbid women to have a professional activity when they have to interact with men . Why not forbid women to drive a car or ride a bycicle. Why not cloister wives in harems, take back the right to vote and so on. A woman is a human being with her own mind and you should understand that her freedom is too precious to be forsaken . Laws and jails are there for lustfull men who cannot respect women.

15. Too late to stop religious domination.
Dudu ,   The North   (04.27.15)
Netanyahu is getting into bed with the Anti-Zionist Ultra Orthodox and there will be nothing left for education, health care and welfare. Netanyahu wants a Haredi Israel so he can stay in power and now he is going to give "Bugs Bunny" Bennett the Education Ministry so he can brainwash the future generations! He is so obsessed with being King-Emperor of Israel that he is giving a convicted criminal the Interior Ministry! Bibi Netanyahu has learnt well from the British with their "Divide and Rule" Policy. He built his and the Likud's campaign on hatred and it won't be long before Jews start killing Jews! Iran nor the Arabs won't destroy Israel. Under a extremist right wing government with Bibi at the helm, well do their job for them!
16. Yes, dress to please the celestial immature psychopath
Nate ,   Tel Aviv   (04.27.15)
Go ahead and dress to meet the requirements of a cosmic asshole who thinks that sending a bear to eat children for calling someone bald, or otherwise DROWNING THE ENTIRE WORLD, is the appropriate response to disobedience. When you are ready to join the 21st century, don't be shy.
17. "taliban city" - this is nonsense
Anglo Woman ,   Beit Shemesh   (04.27.15)
The story portrays Beit Shemesh as a bastion of women hating nuts when nothing could be further from the truth. I an my friends shop wherever we want and none of us have been hassled or threatened. As to ads I read Temura the largest weekly newspaper I see fashion ads with women in quite revealing clothes ditto the ads for the pools. While a charedi paper may choose to select ads - as their right - the response should be dont read the chardi paper. Just like charedim are not forced to read Temura. BTW the city is booming and people are quite happy..
18. #10:and then subdivide them into Leftists and Rightists. Then
(04.28.15)
once more into cities where the Ashkenazim will have a "say", others where the Mizrahim shall wield the power... so on, so on.
19. Rivkah
JDE ,   Boston   (04.28.15)
"That is not what Elohim wants in His women." What Elohim wants is for you to get the psychiatric care you obviously need.
20. Beit Shemesh
Renny Baramy ,   Ramat Hasharon, Isra   (05.20.15)
I wish the women living in this citry to continue to fight against the relgious zealots in their city. It is disgraceful as well as rediculous in 2015 to go back to the middle ages. If the religous men can't deal with women appearingin public they should stay at home
