1. Issue a herem ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.28.15)
.... upon these self-hating Jews. And when the sh*t hits the fan in Europe -- and it's a question of WHEN, not IF -- they will not be able to escape to the State of Israel. You reap what you sow. These "Jews" have served Israel's enemies well. Think those enemies will remember that? No. They won't.
2. What a bunch of B/S
David ,   ON THIS PLANET   (04.28.15)
Calls to boycutt Israel did not start in the USA OR Europe, but right in front of your nose in the University of Ben Gurion in Beer Sheva. Don't blame others for your mess , clean up your country first
3. excellent article
C   (04.28.15)
those jews who hate israel, including the so called public intellectuals, should divorce themselves from israel and the jewish nation and become part of the goy nations.
4. So Wrong
Jason ,   Herzliya   (04.28.15)
So many factual errors in your story, especially J-Street supporting boycotts of Israel and being the opposite of AIPAC. They each try to accomplish different things. It's attitudes like yours that will allow the boycotts to grow.
5. Being more Papal than the Pope.
tiki ,   belgium   (04.28.15)
Trying at all costs to be 'accepted, these Jews with a Dhimmitude should be left swimming alone in the Jew hating pond of their choice.
6. Useless war-losing alte kakker kommentary
Beno   (04.28.15)
The more Israel continues to be pussy and continues to deliberately lose war after war and respond not at all or only minimally to attacks, the more confused Jewry will become.
7. utter b/s
danLondon ,   London   (04.28.15)
what a ridiculous thing to write that somehow it's wrong that Jews will vote for non-Jewish David Cameron over Ed Milliband. Firstly, in the UK we vote for the parliamentary party, not a presedential style leader. To that end, Jews are voting for the Conservative party - by the way, in no small part due to Conservative party's strong support for Israel and the steadfast support they give to the Jewish community compared to Ed Miliiband's Labour party. As much as I love Israel, you should stick worry about how Jews are voting in your own country before critiscising others - no Jews in England voting for neo-fascists like Liebermann
8. #2
Madeleine ,   Israel   (04.28.15)
The article is about Israel haters - Israel in general - not just the BDS movement. Europe was and still is, the cradle of anti-Semitism.
9. punish those who disagree?
Mark ,   Cleveland   (04.28.15)
When the policies of Isreal endanger Jews around the world, Jews speak out and act. If you want to be free of opinions from others, be prepared to live without their support. Israel needs the diaspora Jewish community more than the other way around.
10. we are united in our difference
rosa van der wieken ,   amsterdam   (04.28.15)
I am fighting against BDS, anti-zionism, anti-semitism wherever I am. But I believe more than anything in democracy. The idea of deciding who is a good or a bad jew/citizen should never be made by on political grounds. If you dont like liberals you call them bad jews, if you dont like charedim you cal them bad jews, We have to accept that the jewish people consists of jews all over de spectrum. We have to work hard to make Israel a home for all jews, not only the ones we agree with.
11. #4 Jason JStreet Doesn't openly support BDS
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (04.28.15)
But many JStreet affiliates do.
12. Haetzni
Michael ,   Haifa   (04.28.15)
Haetzni believes that he lives in a vacuum. His bottom line argument is that because he is a superior Jewish Ubermensch, he can do anything he likes to other people, because that is his god-given right. But when he encounters opposition to that position from outside his comfortable little vacuum, he whines.
13. #11 True
Jason ,   Herzliya   (04.28.15)
That's true, but not J-Street as an organization, and that is what the author said. You could argue that certain affiliates of right wing organizations support ethnic cleansing of Arabs. It goes both ways.
14. Paranoid article
Sidney ,   California   (04.28.15)
There many problems facing Israel and the Jewish people but the sky is not falling. And just for the writer's edification, Israel was never admired more in the United States than right after the Six Day War.
15. no J Street actively FUNDS BDS despite rhetoric
sjfter ,   usa   (04.28.15)
16. ridiculous
Ed ,   USA   (04.28.15)
This op ed is slanderous and so simplistic in it's black vs white descriptions of politics, it ought to be published in Tehran by the mullahs instead. American Jews and J Street support Obama who has despite huge differences with a bad Israeli government continued to support Israel with huge amounts of military and economic aid. Sometimes the best way to support Israel is to be honest when her policies are self destructive. What garbage.
17. J street
Rabbi Yakov Lazaros ,   USA   (04.28.15)
J street is a wolf in sheeps clothing. They claim to be pro-Israel but do everything they can to hurt it. They have misled young and naive people to join them. For shame.
18. @1 Are u Serious?
sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (04.28.15)
If the sh*t hits the fan in Europe they can escape to the US where they won't be persecuted by the religious fanatics of Israel. What if the sh*t hits the fan in Israel and it will, should the American admin call for the few hundred thousand American expats to leave Israel? Would that be right? Quite a few Americans have lost there lives in Israel the last few years because they are Jewish, does that give Obama the right to ask that they come home because they are targeted by Muslims like Bibi did to the French? Come on Sarah B., be realistic. American Jews are American and should serve America's interest as Americans. Most American Jews connect with Israel like an African American connects with Somalia or Nigeria.
19. Anti Israel
Wal K ,   Karmiel, Israel   (04.28.15)
Contrary to the right-wing one dimensional way of thinking, a person can be both anti Israeli government policies and anti the occupation, and at the same time be an avid Zionist with a love of Israel. The two are NOT mutually exclusive.
20. Haetzini is a right-wing whack job.
Rafi ,   US   (04.29.15)
History will demonstrate that Obama is clearly not an "enemy" of Israel. Utter paranoid dribble.
21. To nr. 1.
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (04.29.15)
Inspite of speaking of self-hating Jews, perhaps we better can speak of people, who hate the State/Land of Israel. VICTORY FOR ISRAEL!
22. great article !
(04.29.15)
23. Descent into the abyss
Bertram ,   London, UK.   (04.29.15)
It is really sad to read such paranoid nonsense. My fear, as evidenced by the tone of many talkbacks, is that it resounds with a good proportion of the population. Sarah B - a herem??? The only sane response would be to inform those who issued it that they can place it where the sun doesn't shine. As indeed with all such intolerant, repressive, McCarthyite injunctions.
24. Funny you don't mention Israeli authorities own stance
Tracy W   (04.29.15)
True, J Street attacks Israel for the so-called occupation. HOWEVER, top Israeli authorities themselves have been clear in stating that they are in favor of PARTITIONING ISRAEL for the creation of another Arab state. Two States for Two Peoples, they call it. Do you see any difference? Only in style and tone. The substance is the same: The government concurs with J-Street that Israel must cede its heartland of Judea and Samaria. The government has shown some reluctance to accept ALL the Arab demands, but it is facilitating the Arab takeover by allowing increasing facts on the ground. Perhaps the drive towards exposing Jewish attitudes that are harmful to Israel should start with pro-partition Israeli politicians themselves. .
25. Milli-band is not jewish; he is of gypsy-origin.
(04.29.15)
26. An atheist Jew....
The Kibitzer ,   Adelaide, Australia   (04.30.15)
..is like a vegetarian who eats meat. Anyone who thinks that God is a ridiculous myth cannot, by any realistic measure, be considered a Jew. Can you imagine an atheist Muslim?
27. J Street is a fringe organization
DappyDude ,   USA   (05.01.15)
J Street is a bunch of noisy activists. They do not command any real power. The more media mentions them, the wider platform they are accorded. Just ignore.
