so money isn't every thing. True life is expensive, but we are constantly fighting Arab terror and European economic sanctions. Yet we are eleventh happiest place in world. Go figure...
5. Comparing Denmark and israe
Reuven ,   Zichron Yaakov   (05.02.15)
This certainly makes interesting reading! From the information given I calculate that the ratio of monthly groceries to average income is as follows: Denmark 13.8% UK 13.9% Israel. 24.1% With virtually everything in Israel being more expensive than in Western Europe to which we aspire, then it is clear that the wages in Israel are to low! Assuming that the details in Sweden are about the same as for Denmark, comparing Iscar and Sandvik, both leading tungsten carbide tool manufacturers, would be interesting. Are the workers at Iscar being paid wages similar to those of Sandvik in Sweden? I ask this because some years ago it was reported that the net profit at Iscar was an amazing 30%! Could it have been so because the Iscar wages were simply to low?

8. Amused by Ynet's TB policy
just saying ,   Israel   (05.03.15)
I sent a TB via Y-net's TB system and it wasn't posted. Presumably because I mentioned that Prime Minister Mr. Netanyahu is responsible for our economic woes. It was a polite TB and didn't include any foul language and wasn't disrespectful in any way...and yet it wasn't posted. Ok, fine, Ynet's TB system Ynet's rules....no worries. However, had I chosen to post it via Facebook, it would have posted...why does this amuse me? It amuses me because Ynet doesn't monitor or control FB...one finds FB posts which include, incitement, slander, racist slurs, foul language, job offers, and even sex offers ... none of this is within Ynet's control and it doesn't seem to bother them. Like I said amusing.

I don't believe that Ireland is doing better on income and has lower prices than Germany the powerhouse of the Euro economy. If so then why aren't Germany's Turks and others flocking to Ireland.? I believe the unemployment rate is higher in Eire. As one TBr said, the unemployment is much lower in Israel than in many Euro nations and I read in this business section recently that Israel's growth rate for the last quarter of 2014 was 7.2% (as compared to the UK's 0.02%.) Yes, you are paying more in several ways to live in Israel and the housing needs must be dealt with but you will likely be employed and its the best place for Jews and Israelis. As a Ynet oped writer put it 'I don't need the cheap 'milky' (some kind of yogurt or pudding?) I could get in Germany because I want to live in Israel'. Yes indeed. Hang in there yiyeh tov - it will be good and already is.
