US citizen ,   US   (05.15.15)
there is more than this mere physcial realm and there is One who reigns, who is more than mere human, and thanks that One for the mere humans unto whom He has revealed Himself, like Job, who have testified of Him.
3. Politically correct blackmail
Arevs   (05.15.15)
4.  A deals a deal
ky   (05.15.15)
So no schnoror dealing. No doubt the US will try to offload their shmutters. So stay sharp and get the best kit available. I mean when Iran gets their nuke you can be sure it will also be the latest model.
5. The New Middle East
Joe Mevorah ,   Lincoln, USA   (05.15.15)
As the U.S. disengages from the region the price it will pay is more expensive weapons for all involved to defend themselves from their neighbors. The shopping list isn't limited to Israel. The Saudis, Egyptians and other will be asking as well. Besides the sophisticated weapons there is a need for deep underground bunker bombs to take out the secret centers of Iran's underground peaceful and humanitarian nuclear capabilities.
6. Always thought there was no threat to Israel
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (05.15.15)
Now we know Netanyahu was manoeuvring for the Kerching moment. Pure naked greed
7. US compensation
Sam Kolkin ,   Beachwood, USA   (05.15.15)
Maybe it's time to have a good look at the map, stop fighting for other lost causes, and ask US to give all Israeli citizens a refugee status?
8. No more talk. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.15.15)
I truly hope Israel's government is not dumb and suicidal enough to accept compensation. What compensation is there for nuclear devastation? Everyone knows Iran will build nukes unless Israel stops it from doing so. Just as Israel stopped Iraq and Syria from building nukes. No more talk. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!
9. just remember
JRS   (05.15.15)
without the USA, israel is insignificant. USA has kept israel afloat since 1948. Which was and is, a dumb and inmoral thing to do,
10. For silence?
John ,   Toronto, Canada   (05.15.15)
LOL, I think it is a little late for that.
11. do not fall into this pernicious trap
c   (05.15.15)
israel should not give up her sovereignty and her freedom to exercise her right to self defence for some aircraft and lies from obama.
12. Why Netanyahu could "accept" an Iran deal?
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.15.15)
Why is it that Netanyahu might possibly "accept" an Iran deal in exchange for F-35 fighter jets? Quite possibly because Israel realizes it cannot persuade the most anti-Semitic American President ever in office - Mr Obama, while it's quite possible that Israel realizes it must go solo on Iran and the delivery of F-35 fighter jets might serve that goal. Just a few modest thoughts and assumptions of mine.
13. I agree only if the Memorials they're going to erect to the
(05.15.15)
memory of Israel shall all be gold plated and at least 6 stories high! Also, I'd like a cash compensation of 37.700 US$ paid immediately. Don't ask why and I shall not ask why the Iranian-deal!
14. How about obama cooperating with Israel, the Saudi's, Arab
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!   (05.15.15)
Gulf Staes and prepare to 'wipe Iran from the map"? before Iran keeps her promise to do so after obama signs our own death warrants? Wouldn't that be novel, a US President actually allied with or allies instead of our mutual enemy? BUILD ALL THE MORE !!
15. A compensation for being nuked out ?
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.15.15)
16. Extortion time!!!
yoav ,   Tel aviv   (05.16.15)
17. F-35 is a can, ask for F-22 !
Avi L.   (05.16.15)
The F-35 is outrun and outgunned by the new russian and chinese fighters. It's a sorry piece of mechanics, too complex and too prone to malfunctions. Get F-22s! BTW, iranians already compromised the GPS system ... remember that stealth drone of theirs.
18. Wrong plane for the mission.
Bruce N. Goren ,   San Francisco, USA   (05.16.15)
Additional F-35's ? Keep 'em. You want to buy Israeli silent assent to your Iran appeasement plan, sell Bibi a few squadrons of F-22 . That's the plane IAF needs !
19. Everyone has their price in the ME
Cameron ,   USA   (05.16.15)
Just a matter of stacking cash and weaponry on the table till they finally jump at it.
20. # 12 bingo!
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!   (05.22.15)
18 months to go before America regains sanity.
21. # 9 Just remember without obama
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!   (05.22.15)
Israel, America, and the world are much better off. America had an arms embargo on pre state Israel. Remember that and this, NEVER AGAIN !!!
22. More 'spin' from the obama JV crew!
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!   (05.22.15)
the PR dept. of obama's failed Presidency rides on without a horse or a saddle Seems that obama's only mission is to destroy Israel, too bad obama favors ISIS. Just 18 more months to go and watch obama the lunatic try every dirty trick in the book. MORE BUILDING !!!!
23. Poor Analysis
Norm L Jew ,   Galut   (05.22.15)
Beside Ynet's failure to point out the apparent fact that the person using the world "schnorrer" was a (self-lothing) Jew, another fact is that the US government enjoys giving out expensive armaments---because these translate into indirect government subsidies of defense contractors and also create high paying jobs for people who vote in Congressional elections! (So the "gift" is more mutually beneficial than beneficent.)
24. # 19 You mean Arabs right?
(05.22.15)
I remind you that pre state ISrael, America had an arms embargo against her and, she won mightily. As an American, I wish I could say the same for flop eared obama, don't you?
25. Regretting the loss of the Lavi
Alex ,   New York, USA   (05.24.15)
Neither the F-35 nor the F-22 have the range needed to reach Iran, and the F-22 is long since out of production. What Israel needs is an Israeli developed alternative, one which the loss of the Lavi program (and all of the associated expertise) has largely precluded. I noticed that there is a new book coming out on the Lavi at year end. http://www.amazon.com/Lavi-United-States-Controversial-Fighter/dp/1612347223 Perhaps the magnitude of what Israel gave up is finally starting to register.
