1. These learned ponderers of squareness of the circle have not
(05.17.15)
much to say in order to impress us: the depths (and width) of their musings about Universe and our role in it are well documented by now and we remain in humble awe of their brain deficiency caused by lifetimes of wasted intellect....Poor creatures. Imagine for a moment, that their immature, neurotic "God" really existed: oh boy; wouldn't we be screwed for good then??!!!!!!!!!!!!

white. These sons of superstitious b..... all play the same game. Power over and plunder of weak souls. Some commenting say, "these have preserved Torah through the centuries." No!
3. Satmars get State support
Norm L Jew ,   Galut   (05.18.15)
The Satmars living in Israel benefit greatly from State support...ranging from the State subsidies of staples like bread to the protection from the brave IDF (who protect these individuals from the massacre they would not be excluded if the Arab hordes were allowed to attack from without or rise from within)!
4. Satmar has it right
David ,   New York   (05.18.15)
The state will destroy religion if they are given the chance "Not your sting and not your honey"

you just keep on being mechallel shabbos and think you came to this world to have a good time and when you come up stairs and g-d asks you what you did with the precious neshama i safeguarded with you you will have nothing to say at a time when it is too late to do anything about it now that you still have a chance and you are on this world go ask the wise sages what is my purpose of coming down to this earth and realize that hashem gave us an instruction booklet how to handle our time here and that booklet is called the torah the religious are not the ones who ar insane they know that the torah is from g-d and we are obligated to heed it. it is not an option we are not free to do as we wish there is no such thing as a free jew. the land is not our religion the torah is. and we must heed it in its enirety get a start be4 its too late
7. The Hassid nutters have left the stage...they are not
Al   (05.18.15)
worthy of any comment but sheer contempt. Its time that we Jewish people divorce them from our midst.
8. Cool guys
Arevs   (05.18.15)
And the sad part is they are right
9. Satmar and Ynet
Jake ,   Jerusalem   (05.17.15)
Satmar and Ynet have something in common, they both hate the state. But Satmar is worse, they don't care who is in charge, left or right, religious or non religious, they will bash it. Why? Because they can not accept the fact that G-d in His infinite wisdom decided to bring the Jews back to Israel through the agency of a non observant group of Zionists. There fore they hate every one who is living freely here. Ynet just hates Bibi, but if Buji was in would love him. To both, tough luck, but accept it and go on.
10. "trusting a dog not to bite you."
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.18.15)
The Satmar rebbe is wrong of course. The dog won't bite, but Shas and the UTJ cannot be trusted not to the same extent.
11. #2 Who or what DID preserve Torah through the centuries?
HH ,   Jerusalem   (05.18.15)
Did you?
12. #11 The question is not who preserved...

but who is keeping it in any generation. They are not now with their twisted interpretation and their insistence on "their" recognition of mashiakh before a return to Israel.
13. #6(from#1): Nice one indeed. Maybe you could be envied your

certainty abut "things", but then again: you prove my point. Religion is the ultimate control- drug, since it causes the organism to give up autonomous thinking & action and at the same time to sing praises to the Celestial Despot. Good job indeed.
14. The Torah is eternal. Armies and countries are

not.
15. #11 Since there were NO Haredim b4 1830; NO rabbis b4 BCE165
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   www.netzarim.co.il   (05.19.15)
It certainly WASN'T either of these!
16. 14 Yehiel. true but not relevant
robert ,   antwerp   (05.19.15)
What is relevant is that the Satmar are desolidarising from the Jewish people. Ha motsi et atsmo min ha klal kafar be ikar
17. Set it straight, josh #6.
Jake   (05.20.15)
The People of Israel, the Land of Israel, and the Torah of Israel are eternally bound together. Not one of these 3 constants can be removed from the equation.
18. 7 Al,What gets better after a divorce?
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (05.21.15)
Better let it go.
19. 16 Robert,Wrong.The satmar are not
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (05.21.15)
dissociate from the Jewish people. They do not accept the secular government. Small difference.
20. What bad about SECULAR?
J ,   Rehovot, Israel   (06.11.15)
to #19 Satmar tend to use the word "secular" as a term of abuse, while continuing to use "secular" money and to benefit from "secular" medicine, agriculture and industry. By denigrating the secular, real-world aspects of life, they denigrate the holy too.
