He offers only to rename the status quo, not allow Palestinians to have peace. In his mind they will remain occupied, subject to home demolition, property seizure, nightly raids by the IDF. It is not peace for Palestinians, it is IDF military dictatorship, what Palestinians currently endure.

A two-state solution is possible if One can be Zion and one Palestine if the two are in the country call Israel which encompasses them both. Both states can have their state-houses and the Nation of Israel its federal capital in Jerusalem. The IDF should remain the federal police force and national army and the states can each have their own civilian militias and cities their local police. I live in America and I am governed by the laws of the state that I live in but I also must respect and obey the federal laws that supersede the state laws. My state has its own constitution but it is and cannot be in conflict with the federal constitution that assures equality to all Americans : Equal Justice Under Law.
