Michael ,   Haifa   (06.01.15)
"It is not connected to our actions; it is connected to our very existence. It does not matter what we do; it matters what we symbolize and what we are," Until 1967 nobody boycotted Israel for just being Israel.
4. If Pals turn screws on Israel then turn screws on Pals
Sam ,   Canada   (06.01.15)
As we saw, Palestinians didn't like having their tax money withheld. Nor do they like waiting at checkpoints, losing jobs in Israel etc etc. No playing nice guy with Palestinians if they are just out to destroy Israel by arms or boycott.
5. Free Advertising for Israel
Benji ,   US   (06.01.15)
The more you tell people not to do something, the more they want to do it. I see Israeli products in all the stores and on-line. These boycotters have nothing better to do and people don't want to be bothered by them. These are the very same people who want to limit our freedom of speech. Israel makes excellent products. Please bring more to the US!
6. Palestinian boycott campaign

9. BDS
(06.01.15)
bds is a totalitarian group dedicated to the destruction of the state of israel. bds uses intimidation, including physical intimidation, to shut down free speech. bds must be fought in the courts, in national and local legislatures, on university campuses. bds can be defeated if there is the political will to do so.
10. begin and sharon
jerold   (06.01.15)
that is about it for genuine leaders. olmert was a fearful crook, peres a delusional peace seeker pacifist, livni as dumb a person as there is on planet earth, herzog whose father is rolling in his grave at the sight of him, lapid, an arrogant ex journalist who is stupid as hel, and netanyahu, a failed commando who is yellow to the bone. Isis is licking its chops knowing bibi will do next to nothing.
11. That means the BDS is efective ,...

Bibi, that's what the goons in South Africa were screaming when the civilized world's sanctions became a drag on their economy ,...
12. BDS has some significant weaknesses
Claude ,   UK and Cape Town   (06.01.15)
It is no where anything like as successful as the sanctions movement against SA. That movement was conducted long before the era of social media and Internet. Too many supporters of BDS are like George Galloway, despised by most in the UK. BDS is really about denying the right of IL to exist which most consumers to not agree with. Supporting Palestinian Groups like Hamas does not go down well in an increasingly Islamophobic society. Consumer Boycotts in many areas have proved increasingly difficult to organise as the public are much more cynical, maybe even selfish than maybe 20 years ago. A few years ago we were encouraged to Boycott a large retailer because campaigners claimed child exploitation. The Company sold more in the weeks that followed. Food products have Country of Origin displayed, but the vast majority are indifferent to this. None of the above means IL should ignore BDS, better more targeted campaigns are essential, especially in getting more young people to visit IL and experience the complex problems, but also the amazing dynamism and talents of this amazing nation
13. BDS and BIBI
Mark Bloome ,   United States   (06.02.15)
Bibi is half right and half wrong when he says that nothing that Israel can do will make a difference. I have been working this issue for many years both on our USA college campuses and within the Jewish community. Here is where he is right: nothing that Israel can do will bring about peace with the Palestinians. But where is is VERY wrong is that he ignores the impact on campus and in the USA Jewish community when he expands the settlements. Israel supports and aides the BDS movement when that happens. Liberal American Jews and Liberals in general walk away from Israel or even join the BDS movement. Cheers go up from the BDS supporters when the settlements are expanded. Bibi's focus is too blind or narrow to understand this.
