The Bible says that Mount Zion is the same as the City of David, and that David was buried there. Now we know that this means the area south of the Temple Mount, but in the Middle Ages the original site was forgotten and Christian pilgrims mistakenly located Mount Zion elsewhere, i.e. as what is today - wrongly - called Mount Zion. As for the so-called Tomb of David, it is basically a Crusader building, as the architecture also testifies. So this is a case of Jews wrongly identifying a holy site on the basis of mistaken Christian beliefs. Hillel Weiss, an emeritus professor of modern Hebrew literature, needs to learn some history, archaeology and architecture. By the way, the story fails to make it clear that the Catholics pray only in the Upper Room, never in the so-called tomb.
