1. Azov Ronen !
Avi L.   (06.10.15)
1 - The boycott is a continuation of the Arab boycott against Israel: TRUE. Who financed, who infiltrated in the last 40 years the academic world recruiting the orphans of the USSR "peace campaign" for its own goal? The fact that the foot soldiers are from around the world doesn't mean anything excepted that they can be recruited around the world. 2 -The boycott is a unique phenomenon against Israel and because we are Jews, and is therefore anti-Semitic: YES After S. Africa no one had the honor in 30 some years of being the target of such a campaign. No Turkey, No Russia, no Iran, no Sudan, no China. Only Israel! 3 - The boycott is mainly a Middle Eastern and European phenomenon. It will never reach the United States Non relevant. 4 - Terrorist elements/Palestinians/radical anti-Semites are behind the boycott: The one behind the "movement" are the same who are or had been behind radical/terrorists. So YES, the source is the same, the goal is the same, this is just another more "politically correct" front. 5 -In the world of 2015, occupation would never be accepted WRONG Turkey's occupation, China occupation, Russia occupation, Sudan genocide etc are all accepted. Once more it is a fixation on Israel and the Jews 6 - "The campaign's goal is not only to influence a certain Israeli policy or another, but… to destroy Israel's existence as a Jewish and democratic state" The puppets "are convinced" the way they fathers were convinced that USSR was "working for peace". What manipulated crowds believe or think to know doesn't change the fact that this campaign is meant to weaken Israel and make of it an easier target. Of course 50 years ago, fifty, Europe was in favor of Israel. Pity that in the last 40 years, since the Yom Kippur war, the oil embargo and blackmail, arab countries started a campaign whose results are in front of us. To end a story short: "How do yo know yourself?" Some acquaintances told you some politically correct reasons? And left you with an "impression"? Must this be the foundation of a national policy "some acquaintances" and "impressions" of yours?
2. The author is trying to scare Israel into surrender
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.10.15)
Astute observers noted that BDS presents no real threat to Israel. The real threat is from leftists, who are trying to use BDS to scare Israel into surrendering to our genocidal foes. The author of this false and malignant article is definitely trying to scare Israel into surrender. There is no sane reason for Israel to cede any part of our sole tiny Homeland to our mortal "Palestinian" foes. So destructive leftists, like the author, are using mobster threats to try and do so. It won't work. Both polls and elections prove Israelis are too smart and courageous to be defeated by these despicable leftists tactics.
3. South Africa in the 80's - False Assertion
Larry ,   US   (06.10.15)
Sorry but to say that the Afrikaners were Anti-Semites is just plain ignorant. The Anti-Semites are Desmond Tutu and Mandella.
4. BDS "six 'facts'"
Joseph Abeles ,   East Brunswick, NJ   (06.10.15)
The author urges Israel to "engage in 'real' negotiations with" the Palestinian Arabs. He really should have written "grant huge concessions to…" (lacking any quid pro quo). I stand with Israel. Does the author?
5. BDS
(06.10.15)
Spot on . Building civilian settlements on occupied territory is ILLEGAL according to International law. The religious movement think we can flout this law and take on the world.... like they thought we could take on the Romans 2000 years ago. The consequences to that action we all know. Is history repeating itself?
6. Use "love fest" to counter BDS
Avi L.   (06.10.15)
Thousands of people will come for the "love fest", it is a golden opportunity to spread the good word, to counter BDS. BDS is base on the lack of factual information and non-rational "thoughts". Start asking if they would feel comfortable to have the same party in Teheran, Ryhad, Baghdad, Istanbul or Moscow. Continue asking what are the reasons ... and the thinking is on.
7. Ronen makes a reasonable point
Shachar ,   Eilat   (06.10.15)
He questions whether we are really seeing the enemy or painting the enemy in the colours which are comfortable for us. It's always easier to face the grosteque, anti-semite,terrorist alien than face students and academics who think you are wrong. But I seriously doubt negotiations will make the slightest difference to BDS, certainly the gradual repeal of apartheid laws only brought more sanctions on SA. Like any war, BDS needs to be fought whereever it rears it's ugly head. Fight wisely and you win, behave like a neanderthal and you will lose the battle...
8. # 1 Good explanations
Moshe ,   Israel   (06.10.15)
9. Soon articles like this will be published only in Iran!

10. "Ronen Bergman": that kinda says it all, doesn't it?
(06.10.15)
11. The israeli left is willingly blind
Daniel ,   TA - IL   (06.10.15)
and guilty of fanning the flames and justifying aopen antisemitism. mr. berger is clearly blind deaf, dumb or well funded for vilifying jews and lying about those wanting to destroy us. I am also disgusted by ynet for soooo much nonesense and lies. The lies and spin are by mr berger - how much blood money did he receive from his paymasters in the eu?
12. Defence of the BDS
tiki ,   belgium   (06.10.15)
If Mr. Bergman would have been my defence lawyer, he would have been fired on the spot! 1. The BDS was founded by Omar Barghouti, the "Palestinian with a grudge for given the opportunity to do his studies on a Israeli University! 2. The comparison between Apartheid SA, where a white colonial supremacist minority (with all the rights) was ruling over the indigenous black majority (with no rights and who wasn't threatening them) to Israel's behaviour towards hostile Arabs who mostly came to the Jewish area in 1920 and who changed for some reason their Arab status in the mid eighties into the British colonial status of "Palestinians". *In the time of the Mandate Jews were called Palestinians and Arabs just Arabs. 3. BDS can't come to America. Who says so? There are enough Anti Semitic bigots living in America. In fact the biggest Anti Semitic, racist supremacist organisation is in the US. 4. Israel can't defeat the BDSS's.! Jews survived the Spanish inquisition, the Pogroms, the Holocaust and won the ME wars so they can't defeat the BDSS? Get real. The war has just started for Israel and will be victorious like everything else she puts her teeth into! So Mr. Bergman, your defence of the bigots has failed (probably influenced by the same mindset) and the BDSS bigots have been found guilty of utter stupidity, pure ignorance, biased propaganda, apartheid politics toward one nation, racism against it's citizens and evil anti Semitism against all Jews. Their cause has nothing to do with benefiting the so called Palestinians but everything with harming Israel & Jews!
13. Apartheid?
Joe Show ,   Mekka SA   (06.10.15)
Wtf have Apartheid to do with Israel? By the way today whites, coloured, indians are discriminated in South Africa and every year 200 white farmers where killed because they are white(sometimes also their dogs and cats). So why not boycott South Africa again?Whats whith Mauretania-0,5 Million Blacks are holding as slaves there!Ok its not Apartheid they live next door do their Arab masters...right?
14. Problem is, most Ynet articles are inaccurate
Jake   (06.10.15)
report half-truths, and make bogus and/or hysterical claims. Cool-headed analysis is sadly and sorely lacking. There is a word that springs to mind. "Tabloidesque"
15. 6 lies they told me about the anti-Israeli boycott?
Arthur Toporovsky ,   New York, USA   (06.11.15)
Just the fact that the title refers to it as an "anti-Israel boycott" instead of a "boycott of Israel" shows how misguided this is. Even the founders of BDS have publically admitted that this is about creating a single Arab state. “Good riddance! The two-state solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is finally dead. But someone has to issue an official death certificate before the rotting corpse is given a proper burial and we can all move on and explore the more just, moral and therefore enduring alternative for peaceful coexistence between Jews and Arabs in Mandate Palestine: the one-state solution.” -Omar Bargouti This article is shameful in its attempt to misrepresent the facts.
16. How Many More?
David ,   New England   (06.13.15)
How many more murders and missiles will it take for people to realize that the palestinians are not interested in negotiations?
17. The BDS movement is anti-Semetic
Jonathan Minnen ,   Atlanta - USA   (06.15.15)
The BDS movement is anti-Semitic. There are many evidentiary indications, but here is a major one: NEVER, have I heard the BDS movement criticize the Palestinians over turning Gaza into a weapons launching pad. If BDS was sincere about only caring about "occupation" then it would have lauded Israel's unconditional withdrawal and castigated the Palestinians for destroying a golden opportunity to turn Gaza into a model of what peaceful co-existence would look like in order to further a similar situation in the West Bank. Furthermore, where was the BDS movement when Jordan was the occupying force from 1948 to 1967? The BDS movement should be challenged and exposed for its hypocracy and its anti-Antisemitism. And, make no mistake, anti-Zionism is just the more "polite" and "cool" version of Antisemitism.
18. BDS, anti-Israel boycott
vialon ,   Berlin, Germany   (06.16.15)
Wow, what a childish comment. Hey guy, it's very, very simple: Europe, the USA, and also Australia has a fast growing Jew-hating Muslim minority. BDS receives tons of Petrodollars from the rich muslim oil countries. This combination makes for a successful political group. To win the vote of the Muslims you will hear more and more western politicians singing the anti-jewish and anti.Israel 'songs'.....with the usual help of whom????.....not a surprise at all....from our stupid LEFT who, since the times of Trotzki and Co. has learned absolutely nothing.
19. Mr. Bergman
David Fakheri ,   L A U S A   (06.21.15)
As long as the poor arab civilians in all Islamic world are under the heartless rulers who sell them to the super powers interests by money or positions this story of the region is going to be repeated again and again especially when the # 1 of the Envious enemies of Israel are the same powers !. Yesterday had been the Entebbe ,Today is the BDS and tomorrow will be Something else god forbid ! Depends to what the " Powers " dictate the HEARTLESS RULERS OF THE ARAB WORLD To Do of course!.
20. Two State "Solution"
Marjorie Rosenfeld ,   Plano, TX USA   (06.22.15)
Nothing sets my teeth on edge quite like the words "the occupation." I gather that the author of this piece has never read the 1920 San Remo Resolution, the 1922 Palestine Mandate, the 1924 Anglo-American Convention, or Article 80 of the U.N. Charter. "The occupation" consists of the occupation by Jews of land given them to occupy by the foregoing documents. Israel's eastern border, as specified in Israel's 1994 peace treaty with Jordan, is the middle of the Jordan and Yarmouk rivers. Most of the land in Palestine before World War I was government land owned by the Ottoman Turks, not privately owned land. Jews were given the right to settle on any vacant land in Western Palestine not already owned by non-Jews. Jordan's seizure of East Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and its 19-year occupation of these territories were illegal. Israel liberated these territories and is in them legally. Some people don't know this history, and some think erroneously that in 1947 the U.N. partitioned Western Palestine dividing it between the Jews and the Arabs, although this never happened. The fact that Israel has not annexed the territories it liberated in 1967 doesn't mean that Israel or Jews are there Illegally.
