1. Most of the so called "artists" have yet to prove that they
(06.14.15)
possess even an average intelligence. This is a typical knee-jerk reaction of the useful Idiots followed by the old&tired "arguments" about "silencing democracy". Nothing could be farther from truth.
2. but the play about Pollard & the movie about Amir r ok?!
(06.15.15)
so they receive approval and viewing rights and funding? what are these ministers teaching by their example?
3. time to earn an honest living. no more pandering, lazy, vacu

vacuous plays, poetry.
4. By now, every two-bit cobbler of words/sounds or facial

expressions has convinced him/herself of the utmost importance of his/hers actions on the well being of "democracy". Pathetic, little club of privileged, overrated citizens, that deserve no more attention than an average bank-clerk. The self-aggrandizing "Yes we Artists can change the world" has never been proven to have worked in reality. Ah, "reality" : the ground that an "artist" is forbidden to visit....
5. artistic democracy
richard sherwin ,   herzliyah israel   (06.15.15)
seems to me that a good part of the artists protesting think they have the right to be 'provocative' ...i.e. insulting the people who disagree with them, let alone the government ministers setting guidelines for taxpayers money being used to support such provocateurs... in short they sound like theyre adolescents demanding freedom to insult and condemn while expecting parental support the while. grow up. even artistic freedoms have to be paid for by the artist and their audiences. also, so far as known, there is no 'black list' except that of the provocateur artists against whoever doesnt tolerate and praise their nonsense. and they might take this occasion to examine their own snide and snobbish behavior years gone by to the pro zionist, pro religious, and pro conservative artists they de facto kept off t.v., radio, and prestigious committees. their days of self perpetuating elitism are fading fast, hopefully as fast as that of the anti democratic legal system.
6. i view these israeli actors as mad cow diseased fools.

9. It's time
tiki ,   belgium   (06.15.15)
For these artists with their huge ego's, their over the top feeling of importance and self proclaimed national conscience to climb down from their high horses. In the end they are nothing more than puppets reciting texts that others wrote and mimicking gestures others direct. Shameful behaviour from people who claim to be open minded, spiritual, enlightened, liberal & free thinkers! O boy, how their 'image has blown up in their faces!
10. Just stop government funding of art
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.15.15)
There is no reason for taxpayers to fund art in the first place. It should be up to artists to market their work.
11. Zal lakow your accusations are ridiculous -
miriam ,   israel   (06.15.15)
There is no doubt that Amir murdered PM Rabin and your fabrication is one big lie. Sadly he was not executed but has too many rights in confinement. I feel sick at the mention of his name.
12. Freedom vs Funding
Yehudit Katz ,   Israel   (06.15.15)
While freedom of speech is a democratic right never to be censored, that does not mean that the government of Israel is required to be the funder of art or artists that demonize, criminalize, threaten or justify terror against Israel. This is about funding, not freedom.
