1. Those people have been calling for our destruction, AND NOW
shadoil79 ,   Jerusalem   (06.17.15)
the world expects us to save their rear ends so that afterwards they can continue to call for our destruction? ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!!!!!
2. Hmm ,...
split   (06.17.15)
So what's the fuss about they found a pieces of militant weapons in 2 out of 90 UNRWA facilities and that was enough for IDF echelons to kill 540, wound 3,000 children and level Gaza ,... Why is this report in magazine section? ,...
3. hid weapons? In plain sight
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (06.17.15)
Me thinks he doth protest too loudly and too late. Such hyperbole!! Out right lies but, who expects truth from those who ally themselves with pal terrorists and claim Israel is to blame? Idiots, brainless lunatics. KEEP BUILDING!!
4. I seem to remember differently
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (06.17.15)
It was the Israelis who discovered sadly that the terrorists in Gaza were using the UN facilities for staging rocket attacks and storing weapons. At first Israel came under hard criticism from the media and the UN who denied it. Now they are coming around to admitting the truth. May they drop dead soon!
5. If human rights is UNWRA's concern, start here
UR   (06.17.15)
The man must be on crack to think Geneva is in any way comparable. At best, he's a complete space cadet. UNWRA has a comparatively HUGE annual budget when measured to the rest of the UN's responsibilities (almost half as big as the UN's total budget, separately funded, of course; just as Palestinians are specially defined as perpetually in exile, which is a costly status UNWRA duly upkeeps) You'd think some reliable shelters would have been put in place for when the totally predictable and foreseeable war would erupt, as it did last summer, again. But, no, not UNWRA but Hamas built those shelters for Hamas leaders, under the hospital no less & other opportune targets made to serve as human shields. Why did the Palestinians have no where to go? Why not Egypt? Why were the Palestinians not provided with shelters which could not be overtaken by terrorists to be turned into human shields? UNWRA should have know that this is Hamas sole 'war strategy' - its whole modus operandi is a breach of int'l law; first, by targeting Israeli civilians and second, by using their own civilians as human shields. all this was predictable and UNRWRA should have made provision to protect Palestian innocent civilians by setting up proper shelters and protecting them as such. Why doesn't he raise these questions next time he's in Gaza and feels particularly concerned, as he says he's want, about int'l human rights.

Why do you always spell "were" w-h-e-r-e?
7. How many months did it take you to come clean with
barbara ,   Haifa   (06.17.15)
this information. Why did you keep it "under your hat" till now? Hamas threaten you? Say so, now.
8. I'm sorry, but I don't care. Hamas brought it upon Gaza.
David ,   Hartford USA   (06.18.15)
Tunneling into another country to cause death and destruction. Launching rockets randomly aimed at Israeli population centers. And Israel finally answered back. Too bad Pierre didn't spend more time teaching the Gazans to be peaceful and to deal with their own issues. No rockets and no tunnels would have meant a peaceful summer. No deaths, no injuries, no destruction. The Gazans got exactly what they paid for. And if they're stupid enough to try it again, they will get what they deserve all over again. And Pierre will still be scratching his head wondering how this all came to be.....
9. #2 Murdered 3 teenagers
Benji ,   US   (06.18.15)
Then the Palestinians fired thousands of missiles at Israel. Big surprise Israel leveled Gaza. Predictable response Hamas begged for. Go complain to Hamas for using Palestinian children as human shields and shame on UNRWA for allowing facilities to house terrorists and weapons of destruction. Disqualifies any UN criticism of Israel's military response in Gaza.
10. #2
Jake ,   Jerusalem   (06.18.15)
You seem not to remember that Hamas not only used the facilities to store weapons, they used them to launch rockets at us in Israel.

Spare us your crap, please ,... Here's the timeline and an evidence ,... ''The three teens were abducted on June 12. That same day Israeli authorities received a desperate phone call from one of the boys that contained gunfire at its conclusion. The supposition that the boys were dead was advanced when Israeli authorities found the car in which the abduction had taken place, with evidence they’d been shot. The information about the gunshots on that desperate last phone call was widely known in the media, but as we reported, the Israeli government issued a gag order against these facts being published. And over the last two-and-a-half weeks of June, the Israelis launched extensive raids across the West Bank, locking down Hebron, supposedly to find the boys. But the major focus ...of the raids was rooting out Hamas affiliates and arresting them. In fact, the purpose of the raids seemed to be to break up the recent unity government between Hamas and Fatah, which Israel has vigorously opposed. The boys’ bodies were found on June 30, in a shallow grave in the West Bank; and again the deaths were exploited to punish Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said then, “Hamas is responsible… Hamas will pay.” By June 16, Hamas increased rocket fire into Israel in response to the crackdown in the West Bank. Israel ramped up its attacks on Gaza conducting 6 airstrikes that wounded two. On July 7, eight days after the teens bodies were found, Israel launched Operation Protective Edge, and it has now killed about 900 people in Gaza, most of them civilians. As in the case of Weapons of Mass Destruction, many observers and journalists never bought the Israeli story. We didn't. Annie Robbins picked up reports that Israeli authorities believed that a rogue faction of Hamas was responsible for the killings weeks before Donnison’s tweets– on June 16, she reported Hamas’ denial, calling the Israeli allegations “stupid.”Allison Deger also reported as much. Max Fisher was on to the dishonest Israeli strategy at Vox''.
12. It is a WAR
Nathan Salant ,   Hoover, AL   (06.19.15)
The endless criticism of Israel, which was attacked first and repeatedly warned Hamas about the consequences before responding, is unwarranted. This was a W-A-R, not a video game and not hide-and-go-seek. Hamas hid weapons - and even fired some - from UNWRA Facilities, including schools. If Israeli soldiers gave them a "free pass" after it was clearly proven that the mortar shells and rockets came from those facilities, then why wouldn't Hamas fire hundreds of rockets from them? Don't forget - Hamas' headquarters are UNDER THE LARGEST HOSPITAL IN GAZA CITY - and that's not because the best restaurants are in that hospital! The location renders the headquarters untargetable. And, of course, nothing is said about the fact that Israel continued to supply power and water to Gaza during the operation - please provide me with the list of other countries that have provided the enemy with those utilities during wartime, let alone in a war that the other country started!
13. #11 Iron Dome Worked Overtime
Benji ,   US   (06.19.15)
To prevent Hamas missiles from landing on Israeli civilian populations. Kidnapping and murdering Israeli teens followed by rocket fire and attacks through the extensive terror tunnel system built by the poor widdle Palestinians earned this response. You'd think they'd learn but no, jihad is more important than Palestinian lives. So distort the facts and barf up your propaganda as you do but it won't help the self-destructive Palestinians.
14. # 11 So how about Hamas show and tell to the media
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (06.21.15)
of her new tunnels, arms, etc. and vowing another war with Israel? I notice in your defense of Hamas you never responded to the 160 pal kids who died being forced to dig those tunnels in one year alone.. I guess any loss is fine with you Split? Even pal kids if used by your heroes, Hamas? sad empty soul no mercy even on these kids.. May G-d have mercy on your soul less entity.
15. # 12 Hamas loves to lose wars
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (06.24.15)
that's what they live for as their hopeless hapless pals die for Hamas and we hear no complaints, the dead don't complain. Hamas has some better hiding place okayed by and assisted by UNHRC, their own buildings paid for by antis semitic dummies.... MORE BUILDING BABY !!!
