1. I have been saying it all along

Better the devil (Assad) than the devil you don't know. This is shaping to be a strategic disaster. When Assad falls and he will, who is going to hold that country together. Al Quada, ISIS or some other unknown jihadist or Hezbollah? The only good outcome for Israel is the weakening of Hezbollah because it's supply line from Syria will be cut drastically. The biggest mistake Israel could make is to set up a buffer. The IDF will be like a magnet that would attract every jihadist from a 500 kilometer radius. I know Israel could handle it, but at what cost?
2. Israel has a responsibility
Daniel ,   Tel Aviv   (06.17.15)
Like all free nations of the world Israel has a responsibility to it's people first. Israel has a Druze population and Israel must do what it can to protect them and offer shelter to their family members if they are under attack; whether they are in Syria or elsewhere in the world. Therefore Israel should provide Syrian Druze refugee status and help them. Provide food, shelter, and medical care. It doesn't matter if they are not our allies or even if they are our enemies. This is the human thing to do. We have to be able to look back on history and say we did the right thing by our nationals and their families.
3. Druze help-The Druze have helped
Ameridane ,   Ã…rhus, Denmark.   (06.17.15)
Israel, how about returning the favor? How about asking Druze soldiers to help their kin and brethren?
4. a lot easier to get into this stuff than it is to get out...
Rafi ,   US   (06.18.15)
Proceed with caution... Help the Druze with medical and food supplies, and perhaps weapons supplies, wherever possible.. But avoid any "boots-on-the ground"... Don't get drawn into the Syrian mess. Meanwhile - the Druze are excellent fighters... they will not be easily pushed around....
5. Syrian Druze
Jake ,   Haifa   (06.18.15)
We learn the Syrian Druze support either Assad, who is the enemy of Israel or they support Hezbollah, which is an enemy of israel, or they support some variant of the Syrian rebels who are enemies of israel. Exactly who should Israel support among the Druze in Syria? The Druze in the Golan for the most part STILL support Assad. That is not exactly a warm thought.
