1. Good intent, woeful lack of knowledge

Supreme Court decisions have profound effects. There was real resistance to the Supreme Court decision against school segregation. Implementing it has been a long but relentless process. But the situation of Blacks has improved enormously in my lifetime. I served in a segregated army which subsequently had a Black commander in chief and chief of staff. As for other people of color, Indians are now the richest ethnic group in this country. Intermarriage is much more common than the writer thinks. Many on my Jewish friends have children married to Asians. Blacks are the least successful minority but to blame it all on society is just political correctness. The United States is the most tolerant country in the world despite the fact that we are far from perfect. Israeli Jews can't tolerate each other, Haredi, Orthodox, and the majority.

In regard to your last sentence ,... It's hard to tolerate parasites and even harder by them each other when there's one source to milk and a bunch of them ,... The Goyim neighbors of the Hassidic towns like New Square, Monsey and other towns taken over by them are pissed of too and some are big time, this tolerance and patience can go only so far ,...
3. Demography of racism in the U.S.
Avramele   (06.29.15)
Blacks constitute 14% of the American population (42 million) with over half still residing in former slave holding states. 11 of the 18 states with more than a million blacks were slave holding. The plight of poor whites in those states can be just as miserable as poor blacks - both are victims of a long entrenched corrupt white oligarchy. Blacks showed up in the North and California during a period of time that overlapped with the Great Depression and much of New Deal legislation was written to exclude Blacks. The stain of slavery, restoration, the Klan, lynching, Segregation and Jim Crow endures even as the arc, wide as it is, bends toward equality and social justice. When that day comes all, Black and White, Latino and Asian, will be better off for it.
4. A different view
Ex American ,   Israel   (06.30.15)
Your statement that America is the most tolerant country in the world is quite amusing. I'm sure that if you asked an Afro-American, a native American or many hispanics they wouldn't agree with you. As for your comparison of Israel and the US I'll take Israel anyday. In Israel people don't die because of lack of access to healthcare and are not thrown out of their houses by banks.
5. Understanding historical processes
Shachar ,   Eilat   (06.30.15)
Change happens gradually, especially in the US where they couldn't even manage the decimal currency. One decision doesn't change things, it's a long fight for changing attitudes that gradually does the job. A presidents legacy can only be seen 10 years on. If the policies he started to push come to fruition in the future he will have succeeded. If stagnant conservatism returns he will have failed.
6. USA - continuous corrections and improvements
-909flex   (06.30.15)
USA guarantees the personal freedom to its citizens. This is a self-correcting system. Other countries are less flexible.
