No one believes that the USA will come to Israel's rescue in the event of a war. Obama will find some "technical" reason to withold arms, ammo, and parts like he did in the last Gaza war. If Obama wants to pacify the critics of his nuclear plan, make Israel a member of NATO WITH the mutual defense clause underscored and WITHOUT diluting the meaning of this act by including Iran or other Muslim nations. In addition, if the USA gave Israel enough bunker buster bombs and the means to deliver them to a target 1200 miles away it would seal the deal. In fact, Bibi should publicly DEMAND inclusion into NATO to either get in it or make Obama and the EU look like hypocrites for not standing behind Israel like they said they would.

If Israel were made a NATO member, the mutual defense aspect of the membership should deter Iran and placate Israel.
