Israel's policy towards "Palestinian" refugees should be to help them leave our land and build new lives elsewhere.

The author does not write what Israel, in Jacob Tovy’s opinion, could have done then to solve the Palestinian refugees' problem, caused by Arab aggression, except of implementing "the right of return". A poor and austerity plagued country as it was, absorbing over a million immigrants, could it have offered compensations ? Even if feasible, this measure would have probably not solved the issue, because most of the refugees would have refused it.
