1. Build nuclear shelters enmasse
Zechariah   (08.11.15)
Nuclear shelters Ballistic missile Defense and Deterrant Capacity are now the three pillars of survivalism . By 2040 the whole world we need them whether the Nuclear Deal passes or whether it does not pass . The Nuclear deal is a Temporizing measure only .
2. Stop War at Most Costs
Humanitarians Unite   (08.11.15)
All wars are hell and allmost all except WW2 unjustified so the deal is possibly a good temporiser the USA sick of war for Ten years at least till the Military Industrial Pressures kick in . Meanwhile Israel ought work for maximum survivability of its people .
3. The Haber article.
Steven ,   Rockville MD USA   (08.11.15)
What a nonsense of an article. With or without Nataniahu's consent Obama would have the Iran nuclear agreement, and either way Israel will have to face it. It will be not only the nuclear Iran, but Iran with 150 billion dollar in her pocket, which will support Hezbollah, Hamas etc. Mr. Haber, which is better a nuclear Iran with 150 billion dollars or a nuclear Iran without this money? It would not change the situation a bit, if Herzog would be the PM, except he had to face the dilemma. Mr. Haber Nataniahu did not caused the present situation, do not try to load it on him. Not only Nataniahu objected the nuclear deal but majority of the US population rejected it,
4. Chamberlain, Obama and Iran
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (08.11.15)
I would rather pay the price of not having a nuclear Iran, than bow down to King Obama and live with nuclear Iran. No one complained when Chamberlain made a deal with Hitler. Islam (see Koran) believes in lying, Germans and Germany did not. Iran is a worse partner to a deal than Germany.
5. And therefore what?
Jdk ,   new York U.S.   (08.11.15)
Do something that is against your interest or not to do enough to try to stop a deal that puts you in a more dangerous position? Why do you see yourself as so small and having to lower your head every time someone does something that put you in danger just to find favor on someone's eyes? You have such a galut mentality it's scary. Please grow up stand up and be proud of being Jewish
6. TO MR HABER : STOP THE THREATS
TEL EM STRAIGHT ,   SAFED HONESTY   (08.11.15)
True ,the americans are not naive...who ever claimed they were/ are ? who cares whether they recognize the results of the Six- Day -War? No american President likes to be manipulated or schemed against .NEITHER DOES AN ISRAEL PRIME MINISTER kije to be manipukated against and schemed against .This cuts both ways. Israel was created in order to be an INDEPENDENT state ,not an american vassal state.
7. What Israel deserves
Fred Willis ,   Chicago USA   (08.11.15)
What Israel deserves and might get is a President Trump coming to the Knesset and telling the Knesset that Israel must pull out of the West Bank and when the howls of protest go up, the world will see President Trump calling the Israeli Right a bunch of losers and cutting off aid to Israel on the spot. That is why you get for getting in bed with bullies and Republicans.
8. Israeli paying price
Joed Graf ,   sturbridge,ma USA   (08.11.15)
I have to disagree with the editorial because its the American people by more than 2 to 1 are against this agreement and they are making their views known to their elected officials as well as the fact that the congressmen and senators are determining their votes based upon the merits of the agreement
9. THE AVERAGE 30 YEAR OLD AMERICAN
LARRY ,   United States   (08.11.15)
CONFUSES THE REVOLUTION WAR WITH THE CIVIL WAR .THEY CAN NOT LOCATE CANADA ON A MAP
10. whoa
David ,   West bank Philly   (08.11.15)
Yes, it is too late, the Prime minister of Israel has crushed His most Righteous Excellency, the President of the Us into historical oblivion. It would be good for the US to never forget that it has abandoned Her most important friends, and perhaps never forgiven. Bibi is really too tough, even for an Arnold Swartzeneggar.
11. David Kaufman: totally agree !
Rafi ,   US   (08.11.15)
12. Republicans will not be more pro-Israel
Mark Jeffery Koch ,   Mount Laurel, NJ USA   (08.11.15)
Israeli's are making a monumental mistake in assuming all their problems are because of Barack Obama and that as soon as he leave office everything will be fine. It will be far from fine. If Hillary Clinton wins in 2016 she will remember that it was Netanyahu who went behind the back of her husband when he was President. Bill Clinton is known to despise Netanyahu and don't expect his wife to be any different. Israeli's are hoping for a Republican to win in 2016. It was Republican Presidents Eisenhower, Ford, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush that had the most problems with Israel. Any Israeli who does not think that if a Republican wins in 2016 that man or woman will not be offended that the Israeli Prime Minister went behind the backs of two Presidents, Clinton and Obama, is living in a fantasy world. Israelis are also living in in make believe world in thinking that it is not AIPAC's threat of funding a rival to any member of Congress that does not vote to disprove the Iranian deal but it is their actual concern that the deal is bad. If AIPAC's raising money for a competitors campaign was not an issue Congress would vote YES on the Iranian deal by a huge margin. Israelis need to realize that their Prime Minister is causing more harm to their future than Iran ever has or ever will.
13. And how does Habitual Haber arrive at the notion, that with
(08.11.15)
the signature of US intact, the Iranians will NOT produce bombs? It must be incredibly hard for our Osloites to realize the potential greatness of Netanyahu, yes boys&girls: Greatness! USA will not forget/forgive? Really? Soon it'll make little difference. This once mighty nation is sliding fast towards irrelevance while being oblivious to that fact...
14. Maybe US has been blackmailed into Iran-deal by the fact,
(08.11.15)
that Iranians have successfully placed an atomic device (or many) in unspecified cities of America and provided proof beyond any doubt? Could make a script for another Mission Impossible movie....or is it the TRUTH?!
15. SO -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (08.11.15)
-What more could the Israeli PM have done ? Bomb Iran ? That is still a possability !. Arn.Sweden.
16. Eitan's crystal ball gaze into the future
Yardena   (08.11.15)
It's all in how you word it - most liberals are either illiterate or just too stupid to actually read what's presented before them until they cast a vote..... Then they're too arrogant to admit their own stupidity, even then.
17. What part of Obama hates Israel doesn't Haber understand?
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.11.15)
Obama's hatred of Israel and America is deep, ideological and has nothing to do with Bibi. This is obvious to any logical person. America has never had a less competent, patriotic or qualified president. That is putting it politely.
18. #12. Republicans are infinitely more Pro-Israel
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.11.15)
The current crop of Republican presidential candidates are outstanding men and women of great accomplishment. Incomparably better than the worthless political hacks on the Democrat side. Most of them have been strongly pro-Israel long before their run at the presidency. Take Ted Cruz for example. Cruz has strongly defended his support for Israel in front of crowds of booing Arab Americans. Cruz always puts strong actions behind his strong words. There is no comparison between Cruz and the likes of Clinton, Saunders or Biden.
19. it's time to talk again..............
Toledano Jean-Pierre ,   Israel   (08.11.15)
Netanyahu is right about the Iran deal and his opposition against it. Nevertheless I think that the recent cold (diplomatic) war has lasted too long! The USA was and is our most important ally. But, I'm almost sure that, with the permission of Obama and Netanyahu, the CIA and the Mossad are still talking with each other. When a normal diplomatic contact is disturbed then a shadow contact or contacts between intelligence services takes (or take) over the job: parallel or secret diplomacy.
20. THE GALUT MENTALITY
CAPTAIN OBVIOUS ,   SAFED OBVIOUS   (08.11.15)
Contrary to the views of Mr .Haber ,Israel does not have to passively lie down and die ,nor does it have to pay attention to Obama who is a disaster . And it is Israel which should not forget nor forgive.
21. paying what?
MICHEL ,   Ashkelon   (08.12.15)
The Jewish people will pay the result of the hiden and pervers agenda of Obama and his collaborators all around the world and of course the silence or even the collaboration of many jews.
22. Opinion piece of controversy re nuclear weapons
Rene ,   Bainbridge island US   (08.11.15)
The comments are somewhat far fetched. Do diplomats and politicians not know that different countries have different national interests...?These constitute more than perceptions or casual predispositions by national leaders.Egos are not that important in the making of national decisions.Perhaps a Chinese notion should give occasional commentators pause before they personalize national objectives for " big fish eat little fish and little fish eat shrimp." When has it Ben otherwise?
23. Israeli's safety is worth it.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (08.11.15)
24. WHY SHOULD THEY BE MORE CATHOLIC THEN THE POPE?
FO ,   Belgium   (08.11.15)
You write with delight, I suppose, that "The Americans...They said 48 years ago that they won't recognize the results of the Six-Day War, the settlement in Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem's unification, and settled for that". Mr. Haber, who is responsible for such a situation? Well people like you, and your alike, heirs of the so called Left-Zionism who disowned the Jewish state as decided and offered to the Jewish people, on a golden plate, by all the 51 members of the League of Nations. The refusal of an Independent Jewish State, opened the gate for Hitler's Final Solution! Trying by all means to keep classified till this very day, the negation, at that time, of Herzl's doctrine for a Jewish State (read the introduction of Nahum Sokolov's "History of Zionism), and the League of Nations' "Mandate" that gave the Jews the irrevocable right in International Law to settle on the territory between the Sea and the Jordan River, including the Golan Heights, to create their independent state, puts the State of Israel today in a most disastrous situation! Paralyzed by being forced to conceal, by people like you, Mr. Haber and your alike, its legal rights in International Law, reaffirmed by Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, Israel is being considered by world opinion as a rogue state, a remnant of colonialism and a criminal of war, violating the fourth Geneva Convention.

26. America will pay the price for Obama's treachery
Moshe Admon ,   Tucson, AZ   (08.13.15)
This is a biased article with a ridiculous premise. U.S. legislators that oppose the agreement with Iran aren't doing so because of Bibi, they are doing so because it is in America's interest. Obama's foreign relations in general are wholly against America's interests, not only by assuring an Iranian nuclear weapon, but by betraying Israel, America's Arab allies in the Middle East, and betraying the Kurds by supporting Turkey and Assad. So the real question is what will every other nation on earth say when a new president comes into office? "If America betrayed its closest friend Israel, and its Arab allies, and supported a regime that expressly states its hate for the Americans themselves, how can she be trusted?" By supporting this Iran deal and showing America's disloyalty to its staunches allies Obama is narrowing America's sphere of influence and pushing the global community into the lap of Russia and China. The world won't forget and won't forgive, and AMERICA will pay the price of Obama's treachery.
27. Eitan Haber goes off on some bad tangents here
Shachar ,   Eilat   (08.13.15)
but his primary message is correct. Like some right-wingers have pointed out, his worship of America and Diaspora mentality lead him to some poor conclusions. But they are irrelevant tangents, the main message is that the boat has sailed, the horse has bolted, the train has left the station.......the deal is done....there are two options left- shoot yourself in the foot ala Bibi or learn to live with it.
28. None sense
Kathy Wood ,   Montreal , Canada   (08.15.15)
I respectively disagree with you . Obama is a weak president in his lat year and alame duck .In vew months his key assistants will start to depart to cash on their contacts and will start to barrage him . Not to mention the relationship is strategic .
29. # 7 LOL If Trump did that, I'd be amazed, he wont so, I'm
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!   (08.18.15)
not amazed. The trouble Israel faces is due to DEMOCRAT obama. BTW No President can cut off funds, that's up to the Senate and Congress. New to America? KEEP BUILDING !!!
30. No, Israeli's wont pay the price
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!   (08.18.15)
we all will pay the price for obama's treachery. If not for the coming US general elections, we'd all be sunk. Mark my word, a republican wil win and Israel will once again have a real friend no some leftist anti semitic obama muslim loving. MORE BUILDING !!!
