1. Feel sorry for these converts
Reuven ,   Netanya   (08.11.15)
who'll have to redo their conversion if they want to be accepted among Orthodox Jews.
2. Real Jews to Adonai are those who are Jews in their hearts.
Rivkah   (08.13.15)
Being a Jew by biological happenstance or by paper or confession is not the same as being a Jew because on sings the Song of Moses (obeys the everlasting Commandments of Adonai given to Moses) and sings the Song of the Lamb (believes in the Jewish Messiah Yahshua who is the Son of Adonai according to Proverbs 30:4-6 and who was born of a virgin and died and rose again according to Isaiah chapter 53. This includes the grafted on Gentile branch to the religion with Jewish roots. This is what true Jews are and will always be, but most who call themselves Jews or Christians want to sing the Song of Moses or the Song of the Lamb but not both. Revelation 15:3 indicates those on the sea of glass in heaven sing BOTH songs!

If they wanted to be accepted among Orthodox Jews, they would get Orthodox conversions. The whole point is to have an alternative for the great majority of people who want to live a normal life.

if the conversion is done by these Rabbis according to Halacha, I don't see why it shouldn't be accepted by orthodox Rabbis, unless there are other reasons than halachic ones, like power, monopoly, money and so on...
5. honest reporting
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (08.15.15)
Although there is much to improve in the orthodox life, Ynet seems to do what ever it can to show it as a old fashioned bunch of ignoramuses. Balanced writing, a once hallmark of good journalism, is banned from Ynet.
6. #4 Obviously it's not done according to Halachah
Danny   (08.15.15)
since these goyim have no plans on changing their lifestyle.

Wrong. A true Jew is a person who keeps Torah to their upmost ability. Following a rabbi, or following 'traditions', do not neccessarily make you a Jew, but keeping Torah does! Even x-tians can find the true Almighty if they follow Torah as given on har Sinai! Rivka.
8. Both on the same page of talmud....
HIstory nut ,   Israel   (08.17.15)
Is there really that much difference in tzohar and the chief rabbinate? Are they both not products of talmud bavli? Don't they both teach that halakhah is a product of the sages and not the Torah? Don't they both teach supernatural, myths, and superstitions?
9. Conversion to Judaism is
Tova ,   Canada   (08.17.15)
The Book of Ruth. Those that followed GOD. It's not a long winded course for the approval of any Rabbi or council. When a Jewish Man marriages a non-jew the children and wife are Jewish - should be choose to be. Same if a Jewish women marries a non-jew - they are Jewish. Conversion is accepting GOD in heart and mind. #2 Rivkah you said it well. The story of Ruth. Is the story of convesion
10. 9 And what when they divorce ?
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (08.18.15)
A big % of marriages end up with divorce. Being Jewish is not just an identity,it is having a Jewish Neshama. And conversion is only authentic by keeping the Tora laws.Otherwise the convert risks to see his children, willing to marry to a Jewish partner being rejected. We have freedom of choice but not freedom of their consequences. Judaism is not a men-made religion. It is a G-D made religion for the benefit of His people and all the nations ..Everybody has the opportunity to become a Jew, at the condition ,they accept to obey to the more than 600 Almighty's laws. By doing so, you taste what real joy and happiness is.
11. Are orthodox people willing to accept ...
Robert ,   antwerp belgium   (08.19.15)
sincere converts, their children, sincere hozrei be tchouva or their children to the point that they are ready to allow mariage with their own children? If you can't be sure about that, your argument is weak. I just returned from an orthodox wedding in London. People over there bemoaned that in 30 years time, the Jewish english population ha s decreased from 430000 to 260000. The culprit is mainly that young Jews are leaving through mixed marriages. I wonder if nothing more could be done to keep those people inside Judaism. The only ones who really actively do something are the Lubavitch. May God bless them
12. These are bad people
David ,   New york   (08.25.15)
It's hard to imagine anything worse than "converting" Russian goyim and encouraging intermarriage knowing that the fly by night conversions aren't accepted. It's a wonderful way to divide the Jewish people. Our enemies couldn't have done better.
