MS Romano does not understand American Jews. They vote Democratic since the 1930s because of social issues, New Deal, Social Security, Women's issues and not because of Israel. Israel has always been a secondary concern--in 1967 it became primary for many--but it has since faded among many American Jews.

As long as they didn't betrayal an American voters and US Interest I can live with it ,... In regard of Baker's statement, you can replace the 'Jews' with 'AIPAC' goons or 'zionist firster warmongers', no one will oppose it and no love lost, trust me ,... Have a good day ,...

to this American who for years reveled in the success of the Jewish state. However it's turn away from the traditional human rights that imbued all things Jewish has attenuated that support. I will support no state blindly, including my own, whose actions show such disdain for human rights for the occupied in the territories. It's not like democratic garden of Eden was established there only to be withdrawn when the resistance began. But that is only prologue. The current outrages perpetrated by your government in its attempts to influence MY country to what you perceive as your benefit have no equivalent in modern history. The screed you've written falls just short of calling J Street a bunch of "self-hating" Jews and facilely calls all that oppose your position antisemitic. If the Iran deal is soo bad as to risk the support from the United States that Israel desperately needs, then you need to provide some motivation for the P5+1 to agree to it. No one on your side has. And to pretend that there is unanimity of Jews and Jewish organizations against the deal is dishonest in the extreme. The deal with Iran has met the approval of the past three heads of the Shin Bet and Mossad. Today's Ynet has a column about the IDF saying they can live with the deal. American admirals, generals, and the past five Secretary's of State have all endorsed the deal. One person is shouting from the mountaintop trying to undermine the President of the United States and who refuses to listen to the advice of his military and intelligence agencies. That person is the Prime Minister and if the Israeli people allow him to continue he is going to lead Israel into the abyss. American public opinion about Israel is taking a nosedive due to Netanyahu's behaviour. No American, unless they are far to the right, likes seeing their President undermined by a leader of a foreign country. I fear that Israelis have been propagandized by their own leaders to the extent that they cannot see the benefits of having Iranian nuclear sites more closely monitored than any atomic program in the world, and the failure to present an alternative that has even a modicum of a chance to achieve the goal of non-nuclear weaponized Iran is telling. You don't like being called a war monger, but your positions don't lead in any other direction.

It is a gross statement to promote the number of Israeli citizens against the Iran deal at 74% As has been demonstrated time and again that the news information in side Israel is so heavily censored by Army Radio group that the south has no or little if any information concerning what is happening in the settlements. How can any Israeli have an informed opinion? Not that the US is much better. We have to go outside the MSM for factual reporting.
5. I love being a Democrat
EF Barasch ,   Sacramento USA   (08.21.15)
The Democratic Party in the US is the last refuge of both intelligent and educated people in the US. It is the last refuge of the person who is NOT a racist. Repulicans are dolts. Israel put Israel at risk because neither Netanyahu or the IDF has been in any way honest with the Israeli public about what it would take to defang Iran. It is highly unlikely and probably impossible for Israel to destroy the most dangerous facility in Iran which is Fordow by air.. Every single other facility in Iran could be leveled and if Fordow is operational, the ability of Iran to manufacture a bomb that is a threat to Israel remains unimpeded. It is not sure at all and in fact doubtful that Fordow can be destroyed by either bunker busters or nuclear weapons and this includes the largest warheads in the American Arsemal. Nuclear weapons are just not very good against solid rock. The truth is that there are only two ways to get rid of the Iran nuclear program for sure. Either Iran just stops it or Iran is invaded and it is ripped out by hand. Considering how chicken Israel is about going into Hamas and Hezbollah tunnels, the truth is that Israel wants America to go into Iran's tunnels for Israel. That is what Netanyahu is all about. Sorry, I am enough of an American and so are other American Jews to at least try getting rid of Iranian nukes the easy way rather than the hard way. Israel can do it. But, say upfront, how many IDF boys and girls you are willing to lose to do it. How about 30,000? hat is my guess. Either get real or sheked bvakashan And the truth is that in 1948 the Republicans were against recognizing Israel and the only one who wasn't was Truman. A Democrat if there ever was a Democrat.

If it weren't for the Republicans a state for the Jews would not have beome part of the Democratic platform. Yes - the Meretz and Labor party would have handled everything better. Oh - let's not forget the massive jeering and booing when Jerudalem was added as part of the Democratic platform. I am Independent but I am counting the days for this totlalitarian government in the US to finish. I am Jewish and the child of survivors - yes I just love the democrars who would vote for Elmo over a Republican just because.....
7. Democratic Party
Leon ,   Grand Rapids USA   (08.24.15)
Shoula , you've got that backwards. American Jews have substituted the Democratic ideology for Judaism, and are worshiping Barrack Hussein instead of HaShem.

9. The democrat party...
Brad ,   USA   (08.27.15)
Is the final refuge for racists, Marxists, slave owners, criminal aliens, and Jew haters like Obama. Democrats are the reason slavery lasted as long as it did in the U.S. Democrats voted against the '60s civil rights legislation enmasse. Democrats are the reason that every military enemy we've had since WW2, has received special treatment (UN rules of engagement) from us while our military was fighting them. Democrats are the reason a shipload of Jews was turned away from our shores by FDR and sent back to Europe where they ended up in hitler's ovens. From their inception, the democrat party has been helping our enemies and making the U.S. bleed money jobs and lives. I could say, "to hell with the democrat party" but it would be redundant, since it's already on its way there. As for republicans, they sure have fallen a long way from the party that ended slavery in America, to the present day bunch of rinos who constantly let the democrats get away with their shenanigans. PUKE!
