The Obama administration main objective is to keep America out of future Iraq's and Afghanistan's. That's admirable. In doing so, a new vacuuum has developed. The world realizes that the U.S. will not intervene, and in doing so terror organizations and rogue governmnents such as Syria, Hezballah, and others find new benefactors, Putin. Russia needs a warm water port, Iran needs to control Isis, and the United States will no longer dominate. Welcome to the 21st century.

Jihadist are surrounding Israel and the Israeli press blames Obama. Israel is afraid to fight. If it had any balls Hezbollah would of been destroyed in 2006 when Bush sat back and watched the show and supported Israel 100%. How can a world designated terrorist org compile 100,00 missiles under the nose of Israeli intelligence and nothing is done. If Al quada launched missiles from Mexico into California or Texas I can assure you the Marines would destroy every inch on Mexico.

A terrible mistake and os clueless.
5. "...the US has no interest in entering the Syrian quagmire."
Cameron ,   US   (09.29.15)
True understatement that. By God, we have given enough blood and treasure to combating fanatics in the ME over the years. Others are more than welcome to dive into that grim lil sand box, and monkey around as they will.
6. Congratulations Ynet, for waking up!

Obama the clown. The dems are clowns. It all looks good while slurping the frappes at Starbucks with your tablet & loafers on and then reality strikes. Yamamoto's "sleeping giant" slumbers on.

the U.S. intervened already by brokering a nuclear Iran deal between europeans, U.S, & where Russia is an Iran partner too. Inconceivable and unnaceptable how The United Nations havent explained his position regarding Hezbollah joining forces with the Russian government, or they are not considered anymore a terrorist organization because the US friendship with Iran? - how can be possible so many political analysts are avoiding to say that Russia was in Syria since the beginning of the Syrian civil?. i really dont understand the hypocresy of the media
12. Putin is all politics.
DOV ,   USA   (09.30.15)
He will not deploy military to fight. Why doesn't he take the plunge and fight them on the ground. It's easy to say the world should band together to destroy these fanatics. He is just looking for an opportunity to help Russia.
13. I wish Israel had a P.M. like Putin!
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.30.15)
I wish Israel had a P.M. with the strength, courage and determination of Putin. I wish Israel's government would solve the "Palestinian" terrorist problem as Putin would solve terror in his country. I wish Israel's government would solve "Palestinian" incitement, boycotts etc. as Putin would solve such problems in his country. I wish Israel's government would deal with Iranian nukes as Putin would deal with homoicidal maniacs threatening his country. Israel needs a P.M. like Putin!

I lived in Israel for many years and I was shocked by the restraint or lack of action on the governments part when the jihadist launched missiles at Israeli cities with impunity. Israel need some balls, it can complain about Obama all it wants, but Syria is a neighbor of Israel not the US. Not one US soldiers life or one US dollar should be spent in that cesspool of a land, however when the fighting is done the jihadist will turn there attention to Israel, so it is better for Israeli involvement now before they get more seasoned and well equipped.
15. Putin's chess game ??
alexander kalish ,   Ramat Gan   (10.21.15)
Let's see, Putin who is broke is playing super power in the middle east. "Playing" is the operative word. He doesn't have the money or logistics to support a field army in Syria. Dash will win in Syria unless serious forces are deployed to exterminate them. His move to prop up Assad was necessary for him to have a warm water port in the west. It was a move of desperation. The west should hammer Putin by giving freely AA defenses. Obama/Kerry are is pro-Iran and not an ally of Israel.
