any transfers to hezbollah of threatneing weapons or any hostile moves by syria will be hit whehter russians are invovlved or not. If russia wishes to avoid troubles, it will keep its hands out of any transfers. Israel needs no permissions
3. Putin 'worried' by Israeli strikes in Syria
Crispulo S. Celeste ,   Iloilo City, Phil   (09.29.15)
I just hope and pray that Syria and Israel won't become the melting pot of superpowers. I'm pretty sure that each superpower's finger is in a trigger. Even Israel has to be alert 24/7. You may rest from wars but no peace of mind with these development going on.
4. Time for an election in Southern Syria

Time to check if the Druze in Southern Syria want to be part of the Assad regime or independent. I am sure Putin and the Iranians will respect the outcome

7. Obama is hard to wake up
George Nolan ,   Canberra , Australia   (09.29.15)
to face Putin's scenario. Is it that Putin is more clever than Obama ? well this is for sure! Remember Crimea! So Putin thumbs up!! You've got the guts to act alone and have Americans and Europeans still guessing at what would be the next day, they are surprised and still will be for a long time. Putin is far ahead of any European or American head of state.
8. Putin "worried"
C   (09.29.15)
putin needs to control his terror friends, including assad the butcher of syria. putin would then not need to worry. israel will always defend her sovereignty and national security interests regardless of the wishes and interests of the great powers who do nothing but meddle in the affairs of nations.
9. Putin knows the risks of Syria
Shep ,   Memphis, Tn - USA   (09.29.15)
Putin is no fool. Obama has a monopoly on that. Putin knows that there are those who wish to embroil Israel and Russia into a dual and Russia will reign them in while mouthing off in public about being worried about Israel. Putin also understands that Israel percieves Russia's interest in Syria as geo-political chess, while Israel views it as an existential threat to be dealt with pre-emtively. While Israel is small and Russia is large, I would expect Israel to punch far above it's weight class if a clash with Russia happens. Russia's navy in the area would become a pile of rubble on the bottom of the Mediterranean in the first blow.
10. worried?
New Yorker ,   NY, USA   (09.29.15)
let's get real; Mr. Putin doesn't "worry" about anything; Mr. Putin is setting the stage for some arm twisting and bullying Israel; some real geo-political changes are in the air; Israel take note, and think twice before trusting our Russian friends
11. !! Israel is Not Georgia
Ovadiah ben Avraham ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.29.15)
Already. Putin should be worried. Israel is not Georgia. Putin could lose his ring finger like Sauron in the blink of an eye. That shock will travel up the military arm of the Russian Mediterranean Fleet to the political heart in Moscow. Israel remembers that it was Russian airlifts supporting Syria and Egypt in their Yom Kippur Blitzkrieg 1973. That little affair brought the US to DEFCON 3, the highest it's ever been after the Cuban Missile Crisis. But we are no longer counting on the US or its DEFCON posture. At all. Russia attacked Israel on Yom Kippur 1973. It's eschatological.

IAF destroyed 4 Russian Mig 21 during Operation Rimon 20, IAF did not have any losses. Everyone is afraid of our mighty air force. If they hadn't been parked on the ground it would have been more difficult. Also, it depends on who is piloting the aircraft as to who wins.

BUILD BABY BUILD !!!   (10.31.15)
he couldn't stop the deaths of over 200 Russian "Tourists' who ignorantly flew over the Sinai for the last time. Not good at 'tours' Putin? Not too good at wars either.
