1. What sane left?
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.02.15)
Where is the sane left the author writes about? The Labor leftists who want Israel to do nothing as genocidal Iran builds nukes? The Labor leftists who want to divide Jerusalem and render Israel defenseless? The Labor leftists who want Israel to make concessions to Abbas, whose Fatah proudly took credit recently for murdering two Israeli parents?
2. Same Liel that had managed to convene session of Knesset
ab   (10.03.15)
on "giving Golan to Assad" in "return for peace"-because "his acquaintance, close to Assad had promised so". Undeterred by his failure and as subsequent developments in Syia had proven the sheer idiocy of such move, last year Liel published in a major Danish daily article urging boycott of Israel. Man is a traitor,
3. The litmus test
Dror ,   Israel   (10.03.15)
Mr. Ben-Dror Yemini is very wise and his Industry of Lies book is a must read. However, I think he is wrong on the settlement issue. After all the desired two-state solution does not mean that all Arabs in Israel would have to be relocated to the Palestinian state and all Jews would have to be relocated to the state of Israel. If Jews, as individuals, cannot live in peace with full civil rights in the Palestinian state then this solution is a failure. That is the litmus test and from that perspective, it hearts the chance for peace only as far as the Palestinians are not really looking for a true peace (and I am not talking about a peace like with Egypt and Jordan whose population are kept being incited against Israel). Sadly, all indicators show that the Palestinians consider the two-state solution as the first step to achieving a one Palestinian state solution. And I am sure everyone know what it means to have a Palestinian state for the Jews (and I dare say also to the Christians - remember what happens to the Jews in this generation, happens to the Christians in the next one)
4. No longer sane Left left.
Yossi Kadoori ,   Australia   (10.03.15)
The 2 state solution with land swaps and division of Jerusalem would destroy Jewish Israel quicker and faster than the settler movement. Forcing the Right into withdrawals from Lebanon and Gaza and having as thanks almost 500,000 accurate heavy scuds aimed all across Israel in return proved irrefutably, that at least for the next 50 years, the same sane Left should back off from destroying Israel. If Israel was being destroyed now instead of Syria, the now 300,000 massacred would be 6 million second holocaust and that same world that is forcing Israel to leave now, would be cheering Israel's destruction. 2% of very powerful Israeli Elite forced this above suicide solution to the 70% of the sane patriotic Israeli Left, resulting in the Left being eviscerated to around 20% and going down fast. Until the rump of the still patriotic Left can see this and correct it, they, who founded the State, and governed in, will never be trusted by Israelis to govern ever again.
5. Do you want to come here?
Ex oleh chadash   (10.03.15)
Be aware: Malaria, famous dirty sewer beaches, violence - Brazil is the country of problems - its a distressed country. I want to leave. Once, a Brazilian woman invited me to share apartment with her in TLV. She stole my money. She is another olah chadashah,- she was involved with drug dealers in Brazil, but she says everybody she came to Israel for Zionism. She is a criminal, was working as a senior caregiver and cleaning woman. Lived in Hatikvah neighborhood years ago.
6. To Chaim.
Luiz F. Haddad ,   NiterĂ³i, Brazil   (10.03.15)
Being a patriot doesn't mean to endorse any ideological side. But despite it, while Palestinian leaders don't recognize Israel, giving up absurd "right of return", the "two State's solution" will be impossible. No doubt about it. Salutes.
7. Sane Left = Oxymoron
JVC ,   LA, USA   (10.03.15)
8. Journalists and their roles
Bob h   (10.03.15)
I think sir you confuse peoples roles and the personalities they possess with their ideologies and bedrock patriotism. All those you mention love their country and worry over its fate. But sarid plays the angry cynic, dayan the erudite settler, Avineri the realist scholar who has seen it all and you the right's favorite leftist. Publishers know how to balance their stable. But after a scotch or two you are all very entertaining.
9. matan vilnai
Alon   (10.04.15)
Netanyahu just extended Vilnai's term as ambassador to China. So from his standby it isn't all partisan
10. Article is based on a false premise.
Brad ,   USA   (10.05.15)
It assumes the existence of a "sane left". There's no such thing.
11. #6. Thank you, Luiz. Your support is appreciated
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.05.15)
#6 Luiz. Whether I agree with you or not; I always greatly appreciate your support!
