And that has been the problem all along... If Israel had a VIABLE military option against Iran, it would have been implemented long ago. For lots of very real but possibly boring technical reasons, Israel can NOT do anything except annoy Iran militarily and the consequences for that annoyance will be catastrophic for Israel. While Bibi rattles his broken sabre, the rest of the world has already told him to go sit in the corner and shut up. If Israel attacks Iran the USA Neocons will indeed cheer, BUT . . . they are a minuscule part of the USA - The MAJORITY of Americans will hate it with a passion. Why does no one in Israel ever stop to think "why does the USA congress never authorize war against Assad or ISIS?" The congress critters do not authorize war because they would get hung from the nearest light post by the USA public. So go ahead and try to attack, BUT you will NOT like the terrible consequences. BTW - the IDF leadership has already told Bibi that attacking Ira is fpplish.

The Pakistani Shaheen-III MRBM is operational giving Pakistan the capability of nuking Tel Aviv. So as of now, 7 countries have the capability of ACTUALLY nuking Israel (Pakistan, India, China, Russia, UK, France, and USA). There is also the very high probability that Saudi Arabia should also be on that list. So why all the whining about Iran? BTW - all those that think that none of the nations listed would nuke Israel, think again very carefully. If Israel nukes Iran out of delusional paranoia, India, Pakistan and China will be very angry at having their populations, water and food sources contaminated and just may nuke Israel in retaliation. BTW - About a week later all that radioactive debris will be falling on the USA food sources - I am sure Americans will be thrilled by that.

While Israel could indeed bomb a few surface buildings in Iran and kill lots of Iranians, Israel can NOT do any real damage to Iran's military which is substantial. Iran has LOTS of military options against Israel starting with the 100,000 missiles pointed at Israel this very moment per the IDF (I actually discount that by half because the IDF used those numbers during budget negotiations with Bibi). Although I know the numbers of anti-missile interceptors available, I can't publish them here, but suffice to say there will not be very much left standing in Israel if all those missiles are let loose. Then there is the FACT that Iran has a very deadly multi-layer aerial defense network, so many of Israel's attack aircraft will simply never return. BTW - the IDF leadership which knows more than any one that posts here has already whacked Bibi upside the head with these facts and many more which is why they are so against any attack on Iran. Only clueless, angry politicians and even more clueless Ynet posters advocate for an attack on Iran. As Sun Tzu pointed out almost 3000 years ago - do not start a war you can not win and Israel not only can not win but could weaken itself so much that the Arabs can just walk in an take over.

Readers should note that Chris is safe in Germany yet still advocates for Israel to leap off the cliff and attack Iran even though the IDF and US military agree that it would be foolish and would have terrible consequences for Israel. Iran is militarily very strong and it has chosen a DIFFERENT weapons technology strategy than Israel which means they get a LOT more bang for their spending. Underestimating Iran is as foolish as thinking Israel can win every time.
