it is very difficult other than the idf melting pot to martialize the balance of israeli people. \you have pacifists, people of words and letters and many haredi who just won't practise martial arts nor are forced to do so by their haredi leaders. so stabbings in the neck, back, face, legs, killing of rabbis and others is causing more and more israelis to go to stores for weapons and to go for self defense training. \but more needs to be done because the culture of pacificism still is strong. \many still in the media still abhor and blame israel for reacting with force. \the policce and idf cannot get there in time.\individual israelis and their families should develop a plan when they go out on what to take and what to do. and jews should not be waiving knives in public as they may be shot by israeli police as has already happened. \\\\\\\\israelis also have to think about reaction to a knife wielding terrorist or arab freedom fighter as they view it. you have 3 to 4 israelis near the attacker, may you yell out lets rush him as that may be more effective in reducing injuries. But be prepared, look around and do something cause the cops and idf will get there too late. so in an perverse way, the arabs are strengthening israeli defense skills and so what goes goes around comes around. \israelis will not be as restrained as the police.

The Arabs are very much against their bodies being seen in public in the nude. So I think the government should have strip searches on terrorists, dead, wounded and alive, male and female to ascertain that there is no hidden weapons. This will discourage Arabs from carrying out terror attacks.
