When I read the comments of readers about topical issues I wonder how a great newspaper such as YNet ends up with intellectually challenged readers, just judging from comments posted. There is essentially and diabolically something wrong in this equation.

37. Those 'awful' Swedes...
Together with my Mother I was admitted to Sweden on 28th August 1939.
My Wife was admitted to Sweden in July 1945, as a survivor of Bergen-Belsen. That was thanks to the Swedish Red Cross, under the leadership of Folke Bernadotte.
My maternal Grandparents survived the war in Budapest, with the Swedish ‘Schutzpass’ they had received, - thanks to Raoul Wallenberg.
In a similar manner thousands of Jews were saved,- by Sweden!
That is why I find these present anti-Swedish outbursts nothing less than disgusting…

During WWII sweden was suposedly neutral but actually colaboraing with the nazis. In the past few decades, Sweden has been the country in Europe for neo nazi parties thrive the most. Anti semitism is part of the Swedish culture.

As someone who has benefited on multiple occasions from the personnel and physical resources of the Swedish Theological Institute, I object strongly to its mischaracterization in this article. Its mission in service of Christian-Jewish relations has always benefited the international research projects it has hosted, including for several American and European universities and for the International Council of Christians and Jews.
