It was a very sad day when Yigal Amir, a Jew, killed Prime Minister Rabin, another Jew. No matter the difference of opinion, Jews do NOT murder Jews (or anyone else). And it was a very sad day when I read this opinion piece by Mr Hendel, filled with incitement, slander, and racist slurs by a secular Israeli against the entire Orthodox community. Neither approach brings peace with our neighbors. I am an Orthodox Jew, and I was and am afraid of peace agreements that give away too much because I am afraid we will never gain peace with our Muslim neighbors. But I do not feel that any of our "tribes" deserve to be described as a cancer in our people or a rotten fruit.

Israeli society, why doesn't the government arrest his assassin instead of playing ostrich, hiding their heads in the sand and making believe the world does not know the truth? Whom are you still trying to fool if everyone knows the truth that Rabin was murdered in the car during the 20! minutes it took them to get to the hospital? The hospital was changed, 3 doctors/nurses who took care of him were murdered as well. Now tell me who is the rotten family in Israeli society. The innocent Yigal Amir? Besides, the rotten fruit of Israeli society is none other than Rabin himself who was behind the murder of 19 Jews! in the Altalena affair. He murdered them in cold blood and even bragged about it.
