1. The AG would not have the courage to talk about compensation
J. Herzl   (10.28.15)
for Simcha Chodatov who was mistakenly killed in Jerusalem by police last week, would he? And what about compensation for true victims of terrorism Jews? Nothing. The Erev Rav are only concerned with non-Jews.
2. How stupid can Israeli Instututions be ?
Michael ,   Haifa   (10.28.15)
"The National Insurance Institute initially opposed the funding out of concern that it would be interpreted as recognition of his status as a terror victim."
3. How about fairly compensating an IDF soldier who was shot
Rivkah   (10.29.15)
twice on the Golan Heights by terrorists, in the stomach and the vena cava (blood vessel that goes into the heart), a wound that a person cannot survive but somehow Daniel David Montoya did by the mercy of haShem. He is in a hospital (Kaweah Delta Medical Center) in Visalia, California, in the Cardiac Intensive Care ward, after 100 pounds of water his body could not metabolize was pulled out of his body to save his life. He has about $450. a month medical pension from the IDF and health insurance but he is not able to find work since he is not well. He lost his health serving in the IDF with Israeli and American citizenships. How can he live on $450. a month? He has three small children in elementary school and his wife has a little Mary Kay business that does not bring in much and David teaches Torah to a few families in Farmersville at an unofficial congregation, teaching them Orthodox Judaism. But poor Mexican-American farmworkers can't pay him much and that covers the rent of Tabernacle ben David one day a week rented from another church for that day (Saturday). He has to beg for assistance for people to give him an old vehicle, to pay for repairs to it, to pay for gas for it, to pay for food, to pay for clothing for his children since his IDF pension only covers the rent of a two bedroom apartment in a ghetto part of town for Hispanics mostly that is too small for his family. Why should people aliyah to Israel to serve in the IDF if when they are seriously wounded nearly unto death, they get $450. a month to live on after that? This is not right and it is an outrage.
4. Why would his family want his body to be sent to Eritrea if
Rivkah   (10.29.15)
they consider Israel to be their home? Maybe they don't consider Israel to be their home.
5. Law and Justice
Joe ,   Israel   (10.29.15)
Kudos to our AG!
6. Michael Pielet u r the sick pervert
Jew-C ,   JewLandia (Israel)   (10.28.15)
you should be jailed and deported for profound lack of sensitivity toward ur fellow human being.
7. The right thing to do...
BUILD BABY BUILD !!!   (10.29.15)
I doubt it would have worked the other way around but, Israel is a nation of laws and the man was innocent and his manner of death was not.
8. Rivka is right
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (10.29.15)
Paying for the body to be flown home is the correct thing to do...Yet , his home is not in Israel and those childrens home is not in Israel.....Before the Sinai fence was built they illegally entered Israel and all of them should now return home.
9. 3 cont'd: Thank you, Israeli government for contacting
Rivkah   (11.01.15)
Michael Montoya of the IDF about his brother Daniel David Montoya who is a disabled IDF veteran with borderline congestive heart failure and borderline lung failure. Michael Montoya called his brother at the hospital and plans to visit for Hannukah. A nurse is helping David fill out the paperwork for Supplemental Social Security Income for Disabilities (SSI). He was discharged from the hospital and is at home with an oxygen tank to help him breathe. Thank you, President Rivlin, Prime Minister Netanyahu, Dr. Ze'ev Rotstein, President Shimon Perez for finding Michael. It was a close call and David nearly died but he is not out of danger, yet. Blessings to all who helped to find Michael!!
