1. This week Noachs flood happened
Heshy ,   Usa   (10.29.15)
It is interesting that 4100 years ago this week is when the great flood in the time of Noach occured. Our sages tell us in bereishis midrash rabbah 26-5 that marriage contracts between men and men as well as men and animals is what caused the world to be destroyed in the great flood. Today we are seeing so much danger looming over israel and Jews worldwide. Allowing gay parades in jerusalem and other parts of israel is dangerous. We see how liberal Europe and usa are throwing 150 billion dollars to Iran along with nuclear capabilities enhanced. Even though they hang gays in Iran, the superpowers side with them over the liberal gay supporting israel. It's a message from Above. You can not escape the wrath of the Almighty G-d by violating His laws. Wake up fellow Jews. The stabbing every day of soldiers shows us that only G-d can protect us and we dare not rebel against Him. Wake up.
2. No.1, The Bible has nothing to do with these floods.
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (10.29.15)
First of all, there is no historical or archaeological proof that anyone named Noah ever existed. The story was taken from the ‘Epic of Gigamesh‘ and put into story form 500 BCE in Babylon under Persian rule. Unfortunately, the Torah is all smoke and mirrors. Checkout ‘The Bible Unearthed‘ by Israel Finkelstein and ‘Invention of the Jewish People‘ by Shlomo Sand. This weather we are experiencing is the results of Global Warming where so called ‘intelligent humans‘ are burning fossil fuels into the atmosphere and upsetting the balance of Nature. And now Nature will take it‘s vengeance on Man for destroying the planet. We are now on the path to self extinction.
3. Clearly Israel needs to build more water reservoirs
Raymond in DC ,   Dying ton, USA   (10.30.15)
The more water diverted into reservoirs, the less that will flood the cities and ultimately wash into the Mediterranean. That captured water can subsequently be reused. It'll cost money, of course, but just look at the economic and social costs associated with flooding. Such deluges are a normal event almost every rain season, and the infrastructure should be in place to deal with it.
