The Israeli government will not tolerate a new status quo to emerge on the border with Syria, despite the presence of Russia, Iran Hesbullah and Syrian forces. Israel realizes the existential gr Threat that the introduction of these ground and air forces pose to the security of Israel and will do what they need to in order to maintain a credible deterrent threat and the prevention of ANY hostile forces on their border. Russia and Iran are not match in regards to fighting Israel on her neighborhood. Russia knows it, and so do the rest of the players, they just want to see how far they can push Israel. Personally, I would not give them 1 inch......if there is a belligerent act, I hope that Israel creates a new security zone by taking Syrian territory until the conflict is over, and allows refugees to stay there.

So what chips does Israel actually design and manufacture? As for the GPS chips, they are redesigns of the USA design that removes the USA altitude and speed restrictions. The whole myth about how wonderful Israeli tech is, has been categorically debunked many times over. The simple reality is anti-aircraft technology is improving much, much faster than aircraft technology, so even an "upgrade" to the F-35 (an already obsolete aircraft) will not help Israel.
