The US budget for the rest of the Obama Presidency was signed into law last week. Increases in the US gifting to Israel would have to come from the US Department of Defense. Suppose transferring weapons from the US arsenal to Israel is a possibility. But that would disarm the US military. Getting more from the current Congress is not in the cards without hurting the US since they don't believe in paying new bills.

Israel will be paying for these. US government is the guarantor if Israel comes short or delays payments. No defense contractor would just make these things w/o a guarantee or an initial deposit. How come no one talks about the $150 billion that the mullahs are going to get from the sanction relief?

The figure of $5 billion is the starting point for negotiations and everybody knows the final amount will be much lower. I imagine the annual aid will increase by maybe $ half billion with a one off special package of $4-$5 billion to try ease tensions over the Iran deal. What Israel will have in its favour will be US arms companies lobbying for Israel to get this money especially Boeing who want to keep the F15 production line open and Lockheed Martin who are desperate to sell the F35 to Israel after loosing many other contracts because of price & preformance issues.

What do you care about the US taxpayer? You are not an American nor probably a tax payer. If they ever put a tax on stupidity, you would end up bankrupt trying to pay it.
