Whilst there is an argument for setting a cap on gas prices what these people want is a social morality solution rather than a business one. They do not like the idea of big business getting very rich from the peoples gas as they see it but they don't seem to realise its big business thats invested millions exploring for the gas and who we also expect to pay the cost of brining it up and if we do not let them make their profits they will consider Israel a write off and leave then we either leave the gas in the ground or taxpayers pay for the gas to be brought up and that will either be funded by raising tax or spending less tax money on other projects. If we let the big business make their money they will pay all the costs of getting the gas out and pay the state a royalty fee. Its not social morality but its practical.
