The Barak 8 was co developed by Israel and India and this kind of cooperation is something that the Israel arms industries need to do more of. Right now Israel & the US are the worlds 2 largest developers of UAVS but the current generation are the equivalent of WW1 planes and the US and Europeans are now moving into the jet age for combat UAVS which are much more expensive to design & build so we need to do deals with others like India ( not the US ) to develop next generation UAVS.

Unlike what your translation says, Barak 8 is not strictly a shipborne system, and its aim is not just to defend Navy ships. You should simply translate accurately from the Hebrew original, which notes that the system is either installed on ships or on the ground, and that it's designed to intercept a wide range of threats, not just Yakhunt missiles
