They authorities there instruct their policemen and soldiers to behave in juridical manner (not like in Israel) when threatened by a murderer. If they see an assassin trying to kill a civilian or one of them, they are taught, it is their duty to act as follows : 1. To tell the criminal that the law forbids murdering. 2. If it does not stop the assailant, to warn him about the long term of imprisonment he is liable to serve. 3. And if this fails too, to notify him that when he will be interrogated, he has the right to remain silent. The procedure does not elaborate further, perhaps because there is no need for it.

It facilitates efforts of Israel's detractors. (BDS another case in point) This has little to do with anti-Semitism. Rather you are joyfully burning away decades of good relations built for Israel around the globe by Labor govts over the years. Essentially you are slowly but surely isolating Israel (and from much of the Diaspora as well). If anti-Semitism was to blame - how do you explain positive relations with Israel in previous years?

The exacerbation of relations with various countries stems from the fact that they, like you, don't understand the reality here or prefer their interests than integrity. The Arab enmity toward the Jews in Israel has begun long before the settlement policy started (which until 1977 fostered by the Labor government), end even before Israel's establishment, and will not end with settlements dismantling. And the local Labor party, which you so laud, has never opposed it. The aggravation of relations with several entities is taking place with mostly, if not entirely, with left-wing bodies. It began with the rise to power of the socialist party in Sweden, with election of a socialist (and may be Muslim) president in the US, and the animosity to Israel is rampant among the British Labor members.
