We all make mistakes ,including Mr .Shapiro ,who regrets his recent rant. What was so offensive ,and indeed insensitive ,was his timing ,on the very day that poor Dafna Meir was buried. With respect , it may be a good idea for Shapiro to go to a synagogue on the Day of Atonement ,Yom Kippur ,and to repent. I repeat , we all make mistakes and screw up sometimes ,that is part of being human ,and Mr .Shapiro will be forgiven but he shoujld also appreciate that israelis live under cinstant threat when all they really desire is to get on with their lives in peace.

Sir ,with respect , if you want israelis to listen to your opinions and to give you a fair hearing , please ease up a little on your harsh criticism and try to treat Israel fairly.

Dan Shapiro is no fool. Dan is simply Obama's stooge. However in this case the stooge by admitting he was totally wrong does have a conscience! However, the harm was already done. Drop the "two-state solution" nonsense. It will not work here, and everyone knows it. The Arabs really do not want it, for many reasons, including they know how much better off they are in a Jewish state. Most shutter at the idea of living under corrupt Arab rule which is what they would get in their own state. Work towards something real and practical - a Jewish state with Arab citizens. I have not problem with that. Forget all that demographic stuff, too. Jews will be in the majority and will be in control. It won't be ideal, but it is a far superior concept than this two-state Mishugas.

In an area without a country, some sort of law is needed. Citizens of Jordan and their descendants are judged by Jordanian law. All others by Israeli law. Military law applies to both when required.

The timing was wrong ,but the substance of the message was 100% correct. Equality before the law for everybody . ie within and beyond the green line.

just stop talking. you have no understanding of the conflict between israel and the muslim world. such undertanding cannot be learned at university. you do not realise that you are espousing arab propaganda. the truth is that this is a religious conflict. islam does not accept a jewish sovereign in the land of israel. islam denies jewish historical and religious ties to the land of israel and denies the existence of the two jewish temples. when arab muslims conquered the holy city of david, seat of zion, they built a mosque on top of the ruins of the jewish temples. they did so as a sign of conquest, a sign of supremacy and to obliterate every vestige of the jewish temples. for this reason, there will not be peace between jews and muslims for a very long time. neither the shia theocracy nor the salafists-wahabists will accept the jewish state's legitimacy.
