Thanks Mr. Herzog for just saying it. Most people want peace but the Palestinians are not there- Arafat was a murdering lying theiving bastard and Abbas is just lying theiving bastard, so we are making progress but we have to be hopeful but not foolish. Sadly for Palestinians, hamas has destroyed all hopes for some time. The tunnels and rockets make any future peace deal way differrent from previous possibilities. The West Bank is too close to most Israelis. This does not mean we quit on peace completely but every deal will see a demilitarized west bank as a starting point.

Being a liberal does not entail ignoring reality; just the opposite is needed. Once the reality is seen, then real progress can be made. It has never been the Israelis who do not seek peace, it has been and still is the Arabs who run away from the peace talks. We would love to live in peace with our neighbors, but the reality is that Islam seems incapable of bending into becoming a real partner for peace. The Palestinians really use the '67 borders as a slogan and a weapon to garner world opinion, but it is not a reality. Israel is not going to move people out of Gilo, Ramot, Neve Yaakov, and other places. The Palestinians really wish for our demise and only that will placate them. It is possible to be a liberal and still realize this.

There must be peace. The future of humanity demands it. There will be peace, absolutely no doubt about it.

Without imposing Peace on all of the above Arabs will not make Peace with Israel. Pulverize Mecca to vanquish Islam and have Peace on humanity. This is how Peace is made. Right?
