1. you are too harsh
sami   (02.03.16)
netanyahu is not a natural leader.he has tasted blood and has a big advantage over lapid, herzog and livni who have no idea of war, and who are spoiled kids of the founding generation. they are entirely gullible. bibi offered concessions and would cut a deal but deep down he doesn;t believe it, nor does yaalon nor does anyone who has fought or struggled. 12000 rockets are not enough. and when you give them the west bank, you think it is going to be quiet or fun like olmert said. are your eyes wide open. There is no peace until arabs recognize the land of israel and accept it as the master. then they will be ok. otherwise, the more you give, the more they will want. feiglin is going to move out all the disloyal arabs who will sign voluntary departure forms in return for cash payments.
2. Who is this author??
Beary White ,   Norway   (02.03.16)
Not worthy any response..
3.  Welcome to the state of walls and barricades
Isaac Barr ,   Bloomfield   (02.03.16)
Tami Arad has no clue. She believes that the conflict between Palestinians and Israel is local and nationalistic, that if only will Israel come with more concessions peace will come. The conflict however is GLOBAL AND ISLAMIC. Read HAMAS COVENANT and Fatah CONSTITUTION. Tel Aviv is occupied territory no less than Maale Adumim. What is there that you do not understand, Tami?
4. How low can Ynet go?
Rozie   (02.03.16)
Ynet has the dumbest self hating Israelis writing their articles. This one crosses every line. This idiot writer would like the Jews to be sitting ducks so that the Arabs could murder everyone in a few minutes in cold blood. If there would be no IDF...just tell IDF to go home for a few hours. You could imagine the results. Ynet, stop posting stupid self hating articles.
5. Arad has no solution that guarantees Isreal's security
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (02.03.16)
In this case the status quo that Netanyahu believes in is the only way for the time being.
6. long history of Arab terror before intifada
Ari G. ,   Afula   (02.03.16)
I think if we look into history books of the land of Israel we will find much about Arab terror, even before there was a state. Who remembers the Hebron attack of '29? and all the other attacks by Arabs? It is in their blood that killing is a proper thing. It is NOT a new philosophy.... Get used to it or move back to where ever....
7. Breaking silence caught LYING - Pals say its Islam
Someone   (02.02.16)
When 2/3 of Palestinians voted Hamas and now support stabbings, Abbas who started this latest intifada by going on TV and calling for it mid-Sept. Abbas denies the Holocaust and was part of the Munich Massacre. He admits on camera he sends terrorists to kill Jews. The Palestinian leadership have made it clear to anyone who listens to them in Arabic that its a religious war. They don't call it Al-Aqsa intifada for no reason. This type of article denying reality is another example of left wing delusion. Remember the Nazis were also left wing and they used the same style of propaganda as is being done here on the ground. The Palestinians are the new Nazis propaganda wise. They have managed to brainwash a whole generation of children in front of our eyes and idiots like the person who wrote this article either support them or deny its happened. Just go to Palestinian media watch.
8. Peace: There IS a better way
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (02.03.16)
Are we to sleep walk our way through blunder and bluster or is 2016 the year we open our eyes and awaken to the possibilities of the THIRD WAY to Palestinian Statehood when all others have patently failed? This THIRD WAY first advocated by Palestinians in 1999 was for a SINGLE CONTIGUOUS Palestine potentially larger than Lebanon created from an expanded Gaza formed from land exchanges of West Bank for parts of Negev and possible land purchases from Egyptian Sinai Yes a huge endeavour…….but WHAT A PRIZE The GEOGRAPHY makes sense The HISTORY makes sense The STRATEGY makes sense As for economics the benefits are potentially enormous. With a peaceful transition backed by the global community..JUST THE PROCEEDS of the sale of private residential homes to private Israeli buyers at agreed market values in the West Bank then reinvested into rebuilding in Gaza will inject in excess of $75 billion into the new Palestine Economy in the Expanded Gaza over 15 Years! Triggering a construction and employment boom that could last at least three decades to satisfy demand for new housing from Palestinians in the West Bank, returnees and second homes for Palestinians in the Diaspora and Israeli Arabs in Israel And supported by the Global Community we could also build a modern infrastructure and economy the envy of the world In a Palestine AT PEACE WITH ITSELF and her neighbors, with ONE BORDER, ONE NATION UNITED, ONE POLITICAL SYSTEM where now incredibly….we have TWO! Because as sure as eggs is eggs we would never be able to realise our full potential as a tiny nation further sub divided into even tinier territorial entities separated by no more than 50 miles…but ideologically growing further and further apart So whats holding us back? In 2016 lets for once TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO BREAK THIS 70 year old deadlock. Lets get this debate going, get the entire Palestinian Constituency, the Worlds Media, the UN mobilized and engaged, set up a joint Palestinian, Israeli, Egyptian and Jordanian Committee made up of academics, thinkers and planners charged to investigate analyze and submit proposals and plans on the THIRD WAY forward……
9. Leaders of the "free world marching against terror
tiki ,   belgium   (02.03.16)
As long as the likes of the King of Terror, the unelected "President Abbas from Palestine" and the luxury Queen Rania of Jordan, the Kingdom ruled by her unelected husband walk in marches like that.......the "free world" has a problem. As long as leaders like Hollande, Obama & Mr. Moon are taking Abbas and his "citizens" as apostles of peace & freedom than Israel has a problem for their obsessive love for "Palestine" doesn't sprout from obsessive love for "Palestinians" but their obsessive hate for Israel & Jews....yes Tami Arad, including you! The only thing France & friends have recognized that the road to the destruction of Israel, the collective Jew, runs through Palestine. France knows as well as the rest of sensible people that when you will recognize "Palestine" by doing nothing, Abbas will do nothing ......and he's right! This "peace proposal" is like the EU label policies arrogant, racist, anti Semitic & demeaning toward Israel and it's people......and that's what it is meant to be! They know that peaceful coexistence will not come out of it. They are no idiots and know exactly what they are doing. So Tami Arad, stop spitting in your own soup!
10. What part of "dead" doesn't Arad understand?
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.03.16)
How could "Palestinians" possibly make it clearer they want us dead? Their covenants all say so. Their media says so. Their public demonstrations all say so. Their naming of public squares after our murderers says so. Their luxurious pay to our murderers says so. What part of "dead" doesn't imbecilic Arad understand?
11. The west created the Islamic boogeyman.
Murray the K ,   Brooklyn, NY   (02.03.16)
The media which is the same as the government fed us the narrative with moving pictures to fear and then obviously act against an enemy who does not really exist for both fame and power. Intelligent minds are not swayed by emotions and are not manipulated by demagogues.
12. Like every devoted far-left author
Moshe ,   Israel   (02.03.16)
As emerges from her articles, there is only one side guilty for the stalemate in the peace process- Israel, led by Netanyahu. Only the Palestinians have rights, not Jews (for a secure homeland, to remind the paramount). She of course would not mention past failed negotiations due to Pals' intransigence, because this will spoil her anti government narrative.
13. Managing the contradiction
Bertram ,   London   (02.04.16)
Let's see. The Jewish people won in 1948 and Israel was born. It subsequently won a number of wars and remains one of the strongest - if not the strongest - military powers in the region. Israel is clearly a victor, yet consistently portrays itself as a victim. Understandable. Jews, historically, are unused to having power and to having responsibility for others. The answer? Ensure the 'others' remain your enemies who threaten your very existence. That way Israel can be both victor and victim. It's a position which has enabled Netenyahu to keep the reins of power.
14. #13 Your perverse argument
Moshe ,   Israel   (02.04.16)
If a murderer charge you in a street with a knife on purpose to kill, and you somehow overcome him, will you then also claim that your foe is the victim and not you ? But perhaps I waste my time searching logic with a stalwart anti Israeli reader.
15. To no. 14
Bertram ,   London, U.K.   (02.04.16)
Let us take your analogy further. If you spend much of your time victimising, harassing and humiliating someone and that person loses patience and attempts to kill you ....you see where I'm going with this. Now I know you will argue, in the case of Israel, it has done nothing of the sort. Indeed, many will argue it has been kindness personified in the case of the Palestinians - and look where it has got us! We can argue about this until the cows come home - we'll never agree. Finally, the old chestnut about me being anti- Israel. Well, I think I'm considerably more pro-Israel than most of the right-wing, death-obsessed, so-called Zionists who inhabit these pages.
16. #14:Unfortunately- as such "pro-Israeli" you shall go into
(02.05.16)
your grave!
17. # 15 Your basic logic failure
Moshe ,   Israel   (02.05.16)
I don't know if it is the product of the biased British media's reports, but your contention is typical of the anti Israeli propaganda which garnering momentum – Turning the cause into result and vice versa. Thus, the Palestinian terror is presented as the result of Israeli "victimising, harassing and humiliating" them, which itself is exaggerated, whereas the truth is that Israel's security measures are the outcome of Palestinian unprovoked murders, including women and children. If it were happened in England, and innocent civilians would have been assassinated in cities and villages, your government would have taken harsher acts against this terror than the Israeli authorities.
