1. Botolat
Jerome ,   New Zealand   (02.25.16)
To this day we refer to any TV movie as "Botolat". The TV presenter used to announce in Arabic, which we could not understand, the title of the movie, but we figured out that Botolat means "with the participation" of so and so. ie Botolat Farid El-Atrach. Some 50 years later when I speak to my Mum over Skype, I will ask her; so will you sit down for a Botolat tonight? :)
2. It is up to the societies to make peace

The diplomat said a wise thing. On official levels Israel and Egypt have openly friendly relations. This is a golden opportunity that wont last forever. The best of the Israeli and Egyptian societies must seize the moment and develop a true friendship between neighbors. It would be the start of a new chapter in history. A new chapter that is sorely needed.

Al-Sisi is among the best rulers Egypt's had in modern times, including Nasser and Sadat. He is trying to liberalize the religious and political education of schoolchildren. Hoping a new generation will rise without the ignorance and biasses underlying many in his own party, let alone in the opposition. As for his methods of rule, that is an Egyptian matter, not for Israel or any foreigner to comment on. Especially since alternatives arent available -- see Libya, Syria, and Iraq... let alone Turkey.
