1. Gazans need to be settled other lands.
Zola   (02.26.16)
Most Gazans ought be allowed to flee Gaza to other lands . The gulf states with their still greatwealthought take hundreds of thousands give employment but under intense security by the forces for calm for a interim time .They cannot be dragged back into political destructiveness . The West Bank can take hundreds of thousands non Hamas and cities built providing Palestinians with labour . Brunei very wealthy can take hundreds of thousands . Eygpt ought be granted superinfrastructure projects till el Arish and Futher north To settle hundreds of thousands not involved in destructive violence but to build creatively .
2. Michael Hess, you must be very tired of
The truth ,   Is not yours.   (02.26.16)
so much hatred, so many baseless remarks, of your inaptitude to deal with simple truths, of trying your very best to find fault with Israel whilst condoning the cult of death practiced on a daily basis by our neighbors, your good buddies. Keep on BDS-ing until hell freezes over for it will not help.
3. Hamas doesn't want peace.
Steve Bondorowsky ,   Eustis Fl. USA   (02.27.16)
Hamas profits from sympathetic financial support. The more their people suffer, and Israel is blamed, the more sympathy they get. Of course most of the cash goes to the European bank accounts of the Hamas leaders which is why here is no chance of any kind of peace. It will put them out of business.
4. Give "Palestinians" hope of a new life elsewhere!
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.26.16)
The author admits that "Palestinian" groups are the cause of all the suffering. Than he says Israel owes "Palestinians" hope... B.S. Israel owes our mortal murderous "Palestinian" foes nothing. For our own good, and theirs, we need to give them hope of a new life elsewhere. And fair compensation to make those hopes come true. Absolutely nothing else.
5. It is the same old antisemitism.....
naro ,   nyc   (02.26.16)
The two millennia of abuse and attacks on Jews must be stopped. It is little different when it masquerades as Israel bashing. When the goys start bashing the Chinese, Russians, and Arabs and African countries for their poor human rights record then they may gain some credibility. These Israel/Jew haters must feel fear. Physical fear for their well being, and for their careers.
6. Let them enjoy their paradise
Bee Gross ,   Yenim Eck Veldt   (02.26.16)
You cannot fix stupid. The point of giving 'hope' is precisely what ? Israel has given employment, healthcare, electricity, water etc to the Arabs on the west bank and what have they received in return ? I-N-C-I-T-E=M-E-N-T. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If the Arabs of gaza won't defend themselves from hamas, how do you expect the Israelis to do it ?
7. Wrong! No ports as a reward for pal terrorism.
BUILD BABY BUILD !!!   (02.26.16)
Opinions are like anus's, every one has one. This one's stupid.
8. Screw Hamas and the camel they rode in on....
BUILD BABY BUILD !!!   (02.26.16)
The pals have the most cruel of masters, they require pals sacrifice their own teens. ( and, they DO! )
9. Gaza
For real   (02.26.16)
Gaza is an israel prison. With no defenses. The jews withdrew from Gaza because it was too expense to protect 2,000 settlers among 1.7 million Palestinians and the israelis wanted to concentrate the non-jew population. It is cheaper and easier to control a concentration camp. The same is happening in the West Bank, the jews don't allow Arabs to build, jews are concentrating the Palestinians into small areas, restricting their movement. Israel is a racist and apartheid regime. "Our claim that Israel has fulfilled its side of the 'road map' is seen as lacking credibility because not only have we not evacuated the illegal outposts, we are working in every way to whitewash their existence and build more." (Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Autumn 2003
10. If they want a seaport, let it be in El Arish
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (02.26.16)
It's obvious to all that an Islamist-ruled Gaza can't be trusted with another means of importing weapons and dual-use materiel. One can only imagine how much weaponry Iran, newly rich under the nuclear deal, would transfer to Gaza given the opportunity. Rather, Egypt - with international help and supervision - can provide a channel for legitimate goods and trade, as Egypt has its own interest in stopping a weapons flow into Gaza. In a stroke, the onus is taken off Israel.
