1. Is this good or bad ?
Zola   (03.07.16)
For a secular Jewish Nationalist this seems good . Even the Price is ok .A very understanding price and the whole process diminishes angst and simplifies becoming Jewish .
2. if Jewish means anything to them
Jake ,   Jerusalem   (03.07.16)
If being Jewish has meaning other than a 'name' then a Jewish wedding is important so that the subsequent children do not feel like a left out group. But to many, the Jewish marriage is only to appease the simple parents of one side that the couple got a 'Jewish' wedding, but no other meaning. Here the Jewish marriage is meaningless for the long time meaning.
3. Time to seperate state from religion
Miri   (03.07.16)
If Israel is a democracy as it claims then its time to separate state from religion and offer people an alternative option to marry according to civil law and not some outdated medieval religious law that secular couples do not relate to. The whole circus of the rabbinate is beyond a joke and humiliating. More and more couples are choosing to bypass the rabbinate. It is also a sham that thousands of couples are forced to marry in Cyprus as they are not considered Jewish enough. Marriage is not just a religious institution as they claim as married couples also benefit from various civil liberties not afforded to other couples. Equal rights for all including same sex couples. Me and my husband bypassed the Rabbinute and we encourage others to follow suit.
4. Rabbinate wedding? To give them satisfaction? Never, never!
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.07.16)
5. End the Rabbinate!
Vered, Israel   (03.07.16)
The same two reasons for the need of the Rabbinate always come down to "if we can't marry each other, then we'll be two separate peoples" and "if anyone can marry anyone, the Jewish people will assimilate into nothingness." First, we already are two peoples - the Hareidim would never marry us. It's just that we are just two peoples with one telling the other how they will be forced to marry - and charging them for it. Secondly, if a religion can only remain in practice it people are forced to practice it - what does that say about the religion? Also, it has no reason to evolve and become meaningful. We are adults here, and if we choose not to practice something - so be it.
6. we need to be sure who is halachicly jew
JEW ,   Europe   (03.09.16)

7. We kept our Jewishness and survived
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.10.16)
from horrible genocides may G-D protect us, to lose our identity in all of the places the Jewish Land of Israel? This is crazy. Don't let it happen ! We must defend "our raison d'etre"[purpose] being a light unto the nations through keeping the Tora alive. Am Israel Hai.
8. Hey, jew in europe, answer me this:
Dan   (03.19.16)
If I put a ring on a girl's finger and say "Behold, you are consecrated to me with this ring according to the laws of Moses and Israel", do I need to go through the divorce court to be considered unmarried again? If yes, why the hell should I play along with those orthodox ganofras?
9. If she is not jewish her children will be goim
Dana   (04.25.16)
But with jewish names. This would be a real harm to the jewish nation.
