The Emancipation of Orthodox Jews started a long time ago and it continues world over. People prefer working to being without goals and lazy. They prefer having a good time at their own expense. They strive to be respected. If the Orthodox are not joining the military in Israel yet (in large numbers), I have no doubt this is only a temporary setback. The father will work and make his family proud, and his son will serve with dedication. The desertion from the Orthodox camp will continue and accelerate. It happened to past generations and this why WE ARE today the MAJORITY of Jews in the world.
