1. Russian olim were filling the void and now American doctors.
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.11.16)
Israeli medical schools are not able to keep up with doctors' emigration. It is so called Hishtamut at first in the US, or in Europe, which in many cases eventually becomes a permanent departure from Israel.
2. Israeli medicine
Tuv Schertzman,MD ,   Betar Ilit Israel   (04.12.16)
There is a big problem with the attitudes of the managers in Israeli medical system. Most of them are substandard and abusive. They don't know much medicine but make up for it with abusive politics. Precisely what most American doctors try to avoid. This is especially true of Assuta. The CEO should be saying that they want well trained doctors to make aliyah, not warn them to stay away.
3. Recruiting Doctors: Come with Eyes Open
Haifen ,   Haifa IL   (04.17.16)
To all doctors thinking of coming here. I know a couple who already have. For various reasons, it was hard enough to bring them to tears a few times. One made Aliya on a promise of work and salary. Once they sold the house and moved, the salary they gave her was half of what was promised. Barely enough to live on. Make sure you get all offers in writing before you do anything. They promised to send her to annual conferences, instead, she had to pay it all from her own pocket. She finally returned. It will still be heart-achingly difficult, if you stay, so be prepared. Patients are very pushy and difficult, so are the staff and colleagues. There are pluses, but they are not professional. Check everything. And you can't easily go back to where you came from either after uprooting.
4. Roll with the punches
Zola   (04.18.16)
The Jewish People's in Israel are trained for war and so aggression is a uncomfortable reality . Language can be a problem you need scribe -translators pleasant types for sure you will need . You have to focus on the State as righteous compensation for Shoah
