1. Majority Arab Israelis Palestinian
Zola   (04.28.16)
The areas occupied by Israeli Arabs is greater in number and land mass than the Settlements .The Galillee is 50% Arab and so they ofcupy several thousand Square Kilometre of Land and the Negev to with the Bedoin occupation . There was an invasion after 1882 and 1918 Arabs than Jews came into Mandated Palestine , So I believe 98% is just crazy and deeply unjustified as the empty spaces in Judea and Samaria ought have been for Jews escaping Nazi Germany .
2. There will NEVER be a solution direct with Pals!
Alan ,   SA   (04.28.16)
The only way will be thru the other Arab States ie Egypt, Jordan,Saudi, etc I believe the time is fast approaching when these (and SOME other Arab League States) will have had enuf of the Pal Struggle and come to realise that this 100 yr old saga must end.for their own selfish sakes Even Saudi with the new young guard wants to turn away from oil to industry and hi tech. They cant continue on the old way. They all see US and EU cant help them much and Shia Power is growing Pres Sisi is the man to help sort this out
3. Sykes & Picot Wannabe
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (04.28.16)
Most Middle Eastern problems stem from Sykes and Picot. Yet so many propose solutions for Palestinians rather that allow some Palestinian self-determination. Netanyahu offered some autonomy, provided Israel could occupy forever. That is an offer of no-peace ever for Palestinians. It is not wonder nothing was submitted to the Palestinian electorate for ratification. How would a demilitarized, permanently-occupied-by-foreign-troops state be accepted by Israelis? Of course with foreigners controlling trade and where even schools could be built and what schools taught. That is what Israel offers Palestinians.
4. Send them to Jordan
RickD ,   USA   (04.28.16)
There have been five million Syrians in Jordan for a couple years. When they leave the West Bank denizens can move to take their place. Let the Europeans and Saudis pay for this. This will result in peace.
5. Plocker exemplifies loony leftist drive to give Israel away
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.28.16)
Leftists used to pretend that giving away our heartland of Judea and Samaria would bring peace. That dumb delusion has failed. Now Plocker, and his leftist fellow nutcases, admit giving away Judea and Samaria won't bring peace. But they want to do it anyway!! Plocker exemplifies the loony leftist drive to give Israel away at any cost.
6. When the Lions Lays with the lamb...dictators will be dead
Avi Israeli ,   Tel-Aviv   (04.28.16)
Plocker just as well could have titled his opinion piece "The Left are from Mars - and so am I!". I'm sure glad we didn't listen to Plocker back in 2006 and again in 2011 when was advocating a "Land-For-Peace" deal with Syria - exactly around the same time things began getting messy there.
7. Seriously???
Israel Watchdog ,   akko, Israel   (04.28.16)
On the practical level. Sure like giving away more land for peace has worked so well before. That land was conquered and is legally Israel's. As is Texas and California to the U.S. Should they give those territories back? On G_d's side, Joel 3:2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. That speaks for itself. That land and more was given to Israel.
8. LEFTIST POPPYCOCK
A SIMPLE JEW ,   REHOVOT   (04.28.16)
Plocker says Israel "must". Must what? Why, engage in pre-emptive surrender to Jordan, of course. But, Jordan is no friend. The king plays a double game. Reaping the benefits of a peace treaty while spreading the blood libels against Israel that it is hurting Al Aksa mosque. You have to be crrazy to make a deal with Jordan.
9. no sane israel could entrust security to herzog and lapid
hy   (04.28.16)
herzog and lapid will simply repeat gaza on the west bank. arabs will tunnel in across a huge demarcation line. it is not possible that israelis would wish to committ suicide-its just not possible. as for west bank reverting to jordan-totally unrealistic. israel has to control it by annexing otherwise, it should leave tel aviv, that is how critical security is. no one can be trusted but israeli security. look how fast the americans fled the sinai army camp. and the europeans, aside from the brits and germans, you have a collection of weaklings being swarmed by their immigrants.
10. This is not a good option either. Return Arabs to Arabia.
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.27.16)
11. Revisiting stupid ideas, Plotzker?
(04.28.16)
12. Returning the W-Bank to Jordan
tiki ,   belgium   (04.28.16)
Not so fast! There have to be negotiations with Jordan how to divide Judea & Samaria. Part of those living there will become Israeli citizens (if they desire) and the rest will get their Jordanian citizenship back (overnight revoked by the King). Jerusalem, Israel's capital will stay Israel's capital and Ramallah will become the residence of the province Palestine where a Palestinian 'government' will reside. Holland: Amsterdam is the Capital and D'Hague is the Residence and capital of the province South Holland and the town where the government is! It's not the question of how to solve the problem but if the Arab Palestinians are willing to solve the problem. As long as they believe in replacing Israel with "Palestine" they are not!
13. The Flocker is only half awaken. Still cannot see everything
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.27.16)
Occupying Arabs need to be returned far away from Israel. If left so close to Jews, irrespective of sovereign, they will find a way to harm native Jews.
14. Judea and Samaria belong to Israel
BUILD BABY BUILD !!!   (04.28.16)
not some half assed third world nation ( I use that word advisedly) such as Jordan a beggar nation who can't stand on her own two legs. She's become a dropping off spot for Syria's flood of emigres plus the true home for muslim pals.
15. Again, another leftist not listening to the Arabs
Scott ,   Ramat Gan   (04.29.16)
Just like many leftists live in denial & insist that if Israel completely withdraws there will be peace, despite the fact that the PLO has said said repeatedly it wants all of Israel, this man also refuses to listen to King Abdullah. The Hashemite Kingdom is already teetering. on the brink. With 80% of the population being "palestinian" they already have more than they can handle. This combined with the addition of 2 million Syrian refugees has made the country more unstable. The last thing Jordan wants is to have Judea & Samaria back. The author also ignores the fact that Judea & Samaria are strategically important for Israel, especially the Jordan Valley, which is vital not only for defense but is a major source of Israel's water. Millions of people around the world live in autonomous zones, this is the only solution for the palestinians.
16. 1000%
Harry ,   Detroit,MI   (04.28.16)
The Jordon Option: ALL of Jordon East of the River PERIOD. How so simple......With Jordon almost 4 times larger than Israel, why would you foolishly spread your stupidity and think the only option is return Judea & Samaria to Jordan. PLEASE............
17. Death wish
WB ,   Be'er Sheba, Israel   (04.30.16)
No legitimate reason to give any credence to the claims of those who say we have no right to be here, or who want us to have sympathy for a group of people who carry on a 1,400-year hatred of 'Jews'. We need not become like those who hate us, but if we continue turning our back on history we will not survive... except as inferiors. Jewish tradition demands that all people are equal under the law. Creating a Jew-free state in our historical heartland is not a humanitarian act... it's cultural suicide.
18. Wrong conclusion
Jdk ,   nyc USA   (05.01.16)
From your first paragraph. Instead of saying transfer the west bank to Jordanian sovereignty, say the right conclusion of transferring them to the east bank of the Jordan river, I.e. to Jordan, the original place for them.
19. Israel, for its part, foolishly blocked?
David ,   New England   (05.02.16)
"Israel, for its part, foolishly blocked the development of foundations for a Palestinian state instead of encouraging them and made it difficult for the Palestinians to build a sustainable economy." Arafat was offered 97% of what he wanted, with the rest to be negotiated. He went to war instead. Why don't the palestinians "elect" someone that will get them a state, instead of constantly warring?
