No clemency for Katsav!

Don't do it. He doesn't deserve to be pardoned, or paroled. He refuses to own up to his crimes. What about the mental health of the women he raped, take them into consideration before you take the side of a rapist.

The whole trial was a political frame-up from the start. Somebody just didn't want him to be president! The politicization of the judicial system in Israel and the resulting horrible injustice done to M. Katzav, including the parole refusal, is appalling. The president should be a mensch and grant him a FULL PARDON! The women who gave false testimony against him should have been prosecuted and NOT Katzav!!

I mean really...there is no real justice system in Israel anymore. Petitions and support abound for the release of the soldier who shot the Palestinian terrorist in cold blood...eventually they will release him. So why not save all of us the time, anguish and money...release the murderer, release the rapist and while we're at it release all of the politicians falsely accused of stilling money....they are all innocent!

while you are free to express your opinion i have to correct you as this was not the case. I personally know a woman that he raped and i know first hand what she went through not only in the actual ordeal but throughout the trial, so throwing slanders based on a biased opinion that you may have formed on medial reportings from the comfort of your arm chair in LA are not consscidered evidence in a court of law. Ever had a thought for his victims and the lives he has ruined?

Katsav was jailed for political reasons. Almost everyone in Israel knows he is NOT a rapist! His so called trial was a disgrace. Free him.
