American colonists were also 3 times stronger in population size than Boer colonists. On top of that the French navy prevented British navy from bringing in much of the reinforcements and supplies, in many battles. This bankrupted and weakened the French crown so much that it could not resist the French Revolution about 10 years later. Israel faced invasion of all its borders from 7 Arab countries regular armies with a combined population 100 times that of Jews. Unlike Arabs supplied to the teeth by Britain and France, Jews had no Navy, Airforce, Heavy Artillery or Tanks. No other country fought for Israel. There was a much greater mismatch of forces against Israel in 1948 than in 1776 American War of Independence.
