1. Condolence
Tarique M Barkatulla ,   Bangladesh   (06.09.16)
The killing of innocent people is barbaric. It is time for reconciliation not killing innocents. May God give strength to those who lost their dear ones.
2. The people in TA actually voted this man as mayor??
Nachman   (06.09.16)
We are not holding any one hostage all the Palestinians are welcome to go to Jordon Egypt Saudia Arabia etc... Did not the Jews in all arab nations pick themselves up and come to Israel or US etc... The biggest issue does not the TA mayor know that the arabs don't want the Jews in Israel period. We had Oslo and Gush Katif what did that bring us.
3. Mayor of Tel Aviv
Louis ,   New York, U.S.A   (06.09.16)
What a moron the mayor is
4. If you want an example of Diaspora Mentality, you got it ...
JJ   (06.09.16)
If you want an example of Diaspora Mentality, you got it right here. The man belongs to the dark days in Europe
5. I lament utter imbeciles like Huldai, occupying such
(06.09.16)
influential posts in our public life! What a piece of "thick as a brick"-kopf!
6. כל הכבוד רון

Finally someone with some sense in this country May your voice be heard! This country and its poor educated people need to wake up to reason
7. wrong on all fronts-
oded ,   usa   (06.09.16)
there's no occupation . get this out of your brain fart . they are arabs who refuse to recgonize israel's right to exsit. period. until they do we will have to live by the swrod with these subhumans. norm swisher- you are an idiot and a half. if you had a miracle and grew some brain no one would notice the difference.
8. Leaderless
Michael   (06.09.16)
The Government duty is to protect its citizens. Apparently , the Mayor of Tel Aviv seems to ignore that and actually goes out of his way to justify murder.. Someone who justifies murder and especially, murder of his own constituents of his town has lost all moral legitimacy to govern the city of Tel Aviv. If he really is a true moral philosopher he should resign.
9. Representing People
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (06.10.16)
As mayor of a specific city, he actually represents rel people, not political theories. All the MKs represent ideologies and theories, not real people. Gregory Moscatelli (6) from Haifa got it right. Managing conflict, not ending the conflict is what Israel elected when voting Likud and BB.
10. #1-Ramadan Mubarak

15. Thank you.
Ed ,   USA   (06.09.16)
Now run for Knesset!
16. huldai another dan halutz
manny   (06.10.16)
halutz fatally bungled the hezbollah war by an air force mindset with no clear measurable bottom line-'we won on points' which only an imbecile like olmert would say. so he stepped down on winograd recommendation. next we have yadlin who like micheal oren says, lets withdraw so we can have US and EU support but who knows what will happen. oh and lets vote for herzog, who the arabs in their wildest dreams want as p. now we come to labour and huldai, ashkenazi and gantz. gantz has already been sanctionned by shapira unofficially at least as being in error on tunnels and being passive.galant was head and shoulders above him. ashkenzi was better than halutz but he is no great chief of staff as ynet wants you to belive. finally we come to huldai. reminds of mitzna who said lets get out of gaza and things will really be good. what a disaster. it is true that settlers and haredi have to all militarize and be able to handle daily defense and nnot burden the idf and police. so arm yourselves, all of you and set up your own defense force-judean and samaria guard. labour is at a dead end with herzog, huldai and yechaimovitch.
17. Courageous Leadership, not Suicidal
Aharon   (06.10.16)
Blaming Israel for a terrorist attack is like a fat person blaming the government for continuing to be fat, it's just nonsense. Further, the "occupation" really isn't to blame either, it's sick when a media outlet claims it, it's just mad when an Israeli leader says it. The vast majority of Arabs in Gaza and in the disputed territories are ruled by their leaders (Hamas and the PA respectively). They are the ones to blame, not Israel. If anyone in Israel is to blame, it would be the security company for the area not being secure enough. Whether or not this attack could've been prevented is hard to say. Supporting a two-state solution doesn't make one a courageous leader. Almost the entire world is calling for a two-state solution, yet such a solution would most certainly be suicidal for Israel if it follows the lines that are often parroted. Rather, a courageous leader would look at all these parties and say: No! I'm going to do what's best for Israel, and the Jewish people. We are going to assert our national right to our homeland, not have our land allotted to us by the international community. We are committed to stopping terrorism, not holding terrorists' hands. If you don't like that, tough! That's courageous leadership!
18. Huldai
Philip ,   Israel   (06.10.16)
Agree totally with what you say. Please enter politics already.
19. Huldai and the 'Occupation"
Jake ,   Jerusalem   (06.10.16)
Ron Huldai seems to miss the target. First we are not occupying the West Bank, we would love to make peace with the Arabs and live a peacefull democratic existence but they seem to want our blood and money. Second, the liberal Israeli 'leaders' like Rabin and Barak got us into this mess by trying to make peace with the Arabs and getting rejected. Sharon screwed us by his universal withdrawal from Gaza, which is now the home of terror both above ground and underground. Huldai seems to think we want to occupy the WB, but the truth is, we are there to protect our lives until a real peace comes from the Arabs. If we did not have our presence there, the WB would be much worse than Gaza. Huldai is the danger to Israel by not understanding the mentality of the Arabs and looking to emulate the degenerate US value system.
20. Easy for him to say
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (06.09.16)
Would the Mayor agree to give the arabs Tel Aviv, or only agree to give away the homes of other Jews? As far as the arabs are concerned, Tel Aviv is theirs as much as any other place in what they call "palestine".
21. You are saved. You have one sane leader.
Harri ,   EU   (06.10.16)
Brave man. Truth is never popular. It hurts people living in denial.
22. Islamic State celll carried out the attack
C   (06.10.16)
khalled al-muhmara is a member of the islamic state. he joined the islamic state while attending the al-mutah university in jordan. he was prepared to carry out massive terror attacks in israel causing huge casualties. it is shocking that ron huldai, a retired idf general, thought it advisable to side with the enemies of israel even before he knew all the facts.
23. #3
Harold ,   USA   (06.10.16)
The mayor of Tel Aviv is a peaceful man and he deserves to be the PM of Israel and lead the country to peace.
24. Leftist Mayor injects His Political View
BlindLeftIsDangerous ,   Jerusalem Israel   (06.10.16)
Once again the former Leftist Kibbutznik mayor of Tel Aviv injects his leftist view in a tragedy ditto a grieving father of one of the victims sadly they never seem to learn that "concessions" means the end of the Jewish Homeland yet another Oslo Horror of "Concessions" thankfully they are minority voices in an otherwise very healthy majority that no longer is swayed by the Leftist controlled media in Israel who continues its 24/7 attempt at a Putsch to bring down a Democratically elected government with un democratic means Shame on them all !
25. elusive peace vs. terror
Wade ,   NYC USA   (06.10.16)
You think those two murderers would not have attacked had an Israel-Palestine agreement been in place? Hah! West Bank Arbs have their own university, radio, TV, schools, mayors, parliament, etc. What occupation? Military supervision by the IDF minimizes attacks.
