5. I am not sure these graves and DNA can
Mark ,   usa   (07.12.16)
saying anything affirmative about the Philistine culture. The archeological record is clear, zero to zero burial sites of an important ancient peoples. Now that a few graves have been found, the DNA archeology industry is heating up to extrapolate findings about a theoretical connection between the Philistines and the sea people. For all we know these graves represent a minority DNA signature about whom these people where, to a culture that has eluded leaving burial sites. In other words, how can the DNA signature be conclusively attributed to the Philistines. Could not the graves represent some minority living within the Philistine culture and keeping with their own death rituals. And now the brainaics are going to make sweeping connections about a culture that may have for all we know burned their dead to a minority distinct peoples living among them.
