1. Hecklers veto
Mordechai   (07.14.16)
If its OK for police to completely ban a Jew from praying peacefully on the Temple Mount then it should be ok to reroute a gay rights parade off major streets.

Police are using the same argument in both cases, the heckler's veto. If you support the police banning peaceful Jewish prayer because of threats of muslim violence then the same logic applies to threats of violence against the gay parade. Indeed the gay parade just was rerouted not totally banned.

If you don't like it the demand the police reject the heckler's veto for everyone. Demand the police allow Jews to peacefully pray on the Temple Mount and arrest muslims who threaten or commit violence in response. Then you have the moral right to demand the gay rights parade be allowed and the police arrest anyone who threatens or commits violence.

You can't cheer the police violating someone elses rights and then complain when they violate your rights.
