2. 1 hour?
(07.22.16)
It's already one hour to Haifa, unless they are building a spur line from Binyamina to Tiberias via Afula, it's physically impossible. Does no one question this?

The fact that Egged blocked expansion of the railways in Israel during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, and even forced certain lines to be discontinued (as part of the Labor governments of those years), together with the negligence of Likud until only recently froze transportation in this country for decades.

As a young engineer working in Kiryat Shmona, one of the major reasons factories weren't profitable was the cost of transportation to the customer and/or services unavailable locally (galvanization, for instance).

Belated as it may be, this step will make areas outside the center of the country attractive to business owners and it's long overdue.
5. And from Poriya Hospital to where exactly?
Kobi ,   Jerusalem   (07.25.16)
It's great news but you might want to do a little more reporting. Getting to Poriya Hospital is great. How about you report how to get from there to actual Tiberias. So it is not really a 1 hour ride if you want to get to downtown Tiberias - you will have to transfer to a bus which will add another 30 minutes onto your trip. How about why the train won't go there? Could it be because Tiberias is 200m below seal level and there is a problem with the drop in altitude?
