2. Here's what this trial is about...
Ben Cohen ,   Beer Sheva   (07.26.16)
not encouraging soldiers to play heroes and decide who gets to live and who gets to die unnecessarily. It's about showing that in this country laws are broken right and left, that there are laws and no one is above it. Olmert goes to prison, Katzav goes to prison and so will this soldier for breaking the law. My respect to this country. No matter how screwed up it may be sometimes, as Jews we're always striving to be better. Kudos for that!
3. David Shapira - a true hero
Shalom ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.27.16)
Let us not forget who is David Shapira, whom Azaria accuses of lying in order to further his career. It was Shapira who neutralized the terrorist who started a massacre at the Merkaz Harav Yeshive in Jerusalem on March 6, 2008. Az Azaria knows. Shapira heroically shot an active armed killer, Azaria shot a disarmed wounded man lying on the ground. So who is truly lying to save his own skin, Shapira or Azaria?
4. stop slandering superior officers
richard sherwin ,   herzliyah   (07.27.16)
so far azaria's not done badly confusing the timing, motivation, and the general scene of his action. which could have been done without all this publicity, perhaps. this should get him some lesser punishment. and even lesser 'reward' if that. but attacking senior officers is a cheap shot, whatever his lawyers may have suggested. and in doing so, you can be damn sure it'll be some noncom or low ranking officer who'll get 'reprimanded' for this, if the court takes his unsupported charges as credible, let alone partly 'true'.... again, a cheap shot. even if the shooting was justifiable, the justice got dirtied.
5. Shameful behaviour!
Alex ,   Beer Sheva   (07.27.16)
This boy should feel ashamed. He is probably being instructed by his lawyers to lie and blaspheme. It is still his decision to be a real man or a crook. Maj. Col. David Shapira is the real hero and the real man in this whole story.
